Apple Celery Spinach Juice

Another green juice under my belt.  This one was amazing!

The sweetness of the apples balances out any bitterness that comes from the celery and spinach.

Honestly, the spinach was barely noticeable in the taste, but look how much green I got out of it!

juice juice juice!

I was surprised at the amount of juice that was produced with these simple ingredients:

The apples are the real star.  They are sweet, tart and super refreshing.

Nevermind the mess the in background…one sip and you’ll forget how much crap you have to clean up!

nevermind the mess involved

A very bright green drink.   Maybe it will give me that boost of energy to clean up??

I bet it would be really good with a splash of lemon juice in the mix.

I think spinach is going to end up in a lot of future juices!

Apple Celery Spinach Juice

  • 3 green apples
  • 2 stalks celery
  • a huge bunch of baby spinach

I started with the baby spinach first.  Then I added apples and celery, alternating with some spinach.  The pulp/ juice of the apples and celery helps push more juice out of the spinach. The ingredients made over 2 cups of juice!  Booya!

I remember having something similar. To be honest, the taste wasn’t that great. But it does give a powerful blast that other drinks don’t deliver.

I love reading about stuff like this. Very into juicing lately – I can’t believe how much vegetable/produce I’m able to eat when it’s been juiced AND my body seems to digest it better that way!

You just inspired me to drag out my Jack LaLanne Power Juicer! Used a handful of beet greens, some spinach, celery, apple, and ginger. Turned out delicious although the purple from the beet greens turned it a not so lovely brown. My husband said it looked like Guinness, even had a nice frothy head, so I’m going with that as my description!

The jack La lane power Juicer is the WORST juicer i have ever used. Seriously, you need a masticating juicer like the omega 8003 to get the real nutrients (and taste) out of the fruits and vegetables.

I used to juice all the time and loved it, but hated cleaning the juicer! That’s an awful excuse to stop, isn’t it? But so true. This looks so bright and healthy.

Hey – great ideas on those oatmeal cookies I posted. I was thinking changing the sugars would have been smart too. Instead, I’m just gonna stick to the other oatmeal cookie recipe I made a while back. That had the best of everything, so I don’t know why I even tried a new one. : ) Here’s a link back to it, if you’re interested….

dave- not all juice is made for everyone! My 15 month old son gulped this one down and I was totally shocked. I didn’t anticipating him liking it.

stacey- awesome!!! funny how beet greens do that. It really grossed my husband out. Makes it soo murky. I bet it filled you up in the same way a guinness does!

michelle- ooh! yum!!!!! i love white choc in cookies.

I love to juice apples and greens (Kale & Chard is my fav) with lemon & fresh ginger. The lemon covers any bitterness from the greens, and the fresh ginger adds a spiciness that goes so well with the juice. Yum!

    Wow! Absolutely fantastic photo presentation!

There are so many delicious ways to prepare spinach juice. I personally love coconut water, lemon, and spinach juice. I’ve also been experimenting lately with spinach juice mixed with homemade almond milk (super nutritious and creamy!). The sky is the limit as to what you can mix it with.

    Happy juicing! 🙂

I drink this combination every day but I still don’t know what the benefits from drinking this juice are. Do you have any idea. I drink it every day but haven’t seen any benefits. I still feel the same.

By the way do you know what combination juice is good for the hair. My hair is weak, thin and falling down.

    Bye

I’d Juice a big slice of lemon (with Rind on) and finally blend the juice with half to one full avacado – Adds body to the juice and the lemon gives a bit of zzing 🙂

    Jonny,

Your question about hairfall… Well to the above juice I’d add a big compressed handful of Alfafa sprouts. If your hair fall is due to DHT, this might control it. However, assuming (hoping!) that you not a smoker, Hair fall could be due to a combination of factors such as stress, Zinc, Copper and Biotin deficiency – advisable to get your blood profiled for deficiencies.

    Good luck juicing 🙂
