Beauty Time: Coconut Lemon Scrub!

coconut lemon scrub

I would never be a good hand model. I don’t wear gloves when I’m gardening or while I’m doing the dishes. It feels weird! I don’t remember to put lotion on my hands until they’re dry enough for me scratch a phone number on them with my nail. Cuticles? Don’t get me started on those. I have issues. But every now and then I exfoliate my hands… I learned this trick in college. Sugar scrub makes your hands so soft that they don’t feel like your own hands. Sounds weird, right? You’ll see what I mean. This yummy scented Coconut Lemon Scrub is the perfect concoction for those of you who aspire to be hand models. Soft hands are awesome. Just make sure you still have a firm handshake with your soft hands. No one likes a limp handshake. No one.

And we’re off! Let’s get pretty!

Gather your scrub ingredients.

Place it all in your hand and MIX.

Rub both hands together. This is only one hand. My other hand was taking the photo. It was complicated.

rub

After about a minute or so of rubbing, rinse off the mixture with warm water. Feels good, huh?

This is Cooper’s hand scrub recipe. I don’t like this recipe. Don’t follow this recipe. It sucks.

Exfoliate your hands, elbows, ankles, knees or any rough parts of your body with this Coconut Lemon Scrub!

Coconut Lemon Scrub

Recipe by yours Truly

Makes enough to exfoliate your hands

  • 1 tablespoon coconut oil (in solid state)
  • 1 teaspoon lemon zest
  • 1 tablespoon turbinado sugar

Place coconut oil, lemon zest & sugar in your hands. Rub mixture in between your hands vigorously for about 1 minute. Rinse with warm water. Use this application on any dry patches you might have!

***Shutterbean Notes***

-If you don’t have coconut oil, use olive oil.

-If you don’t have lemon zest, use lime or grapefruit!

-If you don’t have turbinado sugar, try regular sugar. It will still exfoliate. It’s just not as powerful as the turbinado sugar.
