I am thankful for:

I am thankful for YOU. That’s right, YOU. I love your comments. I love your love. I love it when you tweet me or post pictures on my Facebook page of a recipe you’ve made from my website. You brighten my day and you keep me going. You make my life happy. THANK YOU!

There are other things in my life that I am thankful for. First! I am thankful for my camera phone which allows me to take pictures of what I am thankful for. Here we go!

I am thankful for:

For the brief moments I get to myself.

My parents & their love for Cooper.

These words and how they challenge me.

Date nights with my husband.

Special lunches with my dad.

A freshly made bed.

An empty sink.

This friendship.

Beautiful San Francisco. I’m lucky to live in the Bay Area.

The abundance of good food in my life.

Finding Coconut Oil at Trader Joe’s!

Boys who cooperate during haircuts (there’s finally a cooper in cooperate!).

A clean kitchen table.

This workspace that takes a beating.

Funny signs.

Video chats with my brother in NYC (sometimes I wear disguises).

When a recipe looks exactly how it’s supposed to.

A boy who never minds sitting in a shopping car and refers to these shoes as his Spicoli’s.

That moment I set aside to look at our birch trees.

Because the next day there were no leaves left.

A boy who is obsessed with mustaches and likes to paint them on himself…

The moments when I get to play with watercolors.

Little signs that I’m on the right track.

Being able to see the love between a father & son grow.

Lastly, I’m thankful for this here space where I get to be me and tell you THANK YOU.

Happy Thanksgiving Week!

Eat an extra dinner roll for me on Thanksgiving, would ya?

What a lovely post! We started a new tradition this year where we wrote down something we were thankful for every day leading up to Turkey Day and put our notes of gratitude in a pretty jar: http://www.thedesertabode.com/2011/11/13/giving-thanks/

It has been so much fun to recount the things we were thankful for this year. Our “Thanks Jar” will be tomorrow’s table centerpiece and afterward we get to read each other’s notes. 🙂
