My Everyday Life: Week 20

Here’s what this past week looked like:

Watching flags blow in the wind while filling up my gas tank.

Dipping into the freezer for dinner.

Going grocery shopping with Coop. AGAIN with the right knee. There’s ALWAYS a hole in the right knee.

Mother’s Day present from Coop. His hand print is on the top.

Speaking of Mother’s Day. We out out to Brunch! My mom got profiteroles! Check out Cooper’s face.

I made my mom Profiteroles once. Do you remember that?

Making Blackberry Lemon Goat Cheese Squares.

This was the last meal I made in my kitchen.  SAD FACE.

A lot of red in this photo.

I treated myself to this bag from Target & Mom, Inc.!  Booya.

Gin & Ginger Ale.  I think Casey got vodka with a splash of cranberry.

DO IIT.  I’m saying this in a Ben Stiller voice.

Trying on clothes at Target. Can you see what my eye gravitates to? So predictable.

Joy, Michael & I went to a Say Media event to represent Homefries!

The band Wallpaper was really good!

We got to hang out with Erin from Apartment 34. It was so much fun!

My shortcut home was not a shortcut…BUT I saw this so that was cool.

On our way to a Persian restaurant.

REAL LIFE. Packing up what’s in the dishwasher.

It’s like waiting for your clothes to dry so you can pack your suitcase.

Goodbye pretty chandelier. I didn’t like the light you gave off but you sure were pretty!

Thai take out.

Yes – holes in the knees of pants. Went through that with my own son. He’s 24 now, but still always ends up with holes in the right knee (and sometimes the left too) of his athletic pants. The jeans stay ok now though.

You find the coolest things to share from your {fabulous} city! Sounds like the final goodbye is imminent now. When’s the day of horror (moving day)? Have a gin and ginger ale for me – a toast to the great memories you made and will always have with you and the thrill of more to come and a promising new adventure!

  • Sasha

Sad to see you leave. I recently moved here and loved finding new places to go through your photos 🙁 Also I hate moving!

  • Nicole @ The Dirty Oven

Great photos. I am sure this has all been exciting and scary at the same time. Enjoy the transition and getting to know your new / old kitchen again!

    • Tracy

thank you so much! It is exciting and scary AND stressful!! xoxoxo

  • Jane M

Good luck with the move. Now you have unpacking to look forward to.

  • MaryBeth

I tried on that striped dress your wearing, you look great in it! I think there’s something about Leo’s liking stripes and black and white because that’s basically my whole closet!

    • Tracy

ooooh ya think? I know I absolutely LOVE contrast. I wonder if that’s a Leo thing too?

  • Sasha

I love that you guys saw Wallpaper! My worlds are colliding and I think I like it. 🙂

  • Lucia

Saying goodbye to a kitchen and a chandelier sounds sad, but there will be always something exciting waiting for you, even if in another home 🙂

  • Kimberly Ferer

Hi Tracy! I often look at your site, and LOVE IT, but haven’t commented and today I have the perfect reason too! I know where you are having your gin and ginger ale at! Capellini’s, right?! 🙂 Hi to the family, esp. your mom! XOXO

    • Tracy

Kimberly!! Hello! That’s right! You totally know that table, huh? Cooper almost stood on it last week. Good grief! That child. So nice to see you on here. Thank you so much for reading. I hope we see each other sometime soon! xo

  • Shawna

Gin and Ginger Ale – LOVE IT! Saul’s in Berkeley makes a mean Vodka and homemade ginger soda. Have you ever tried making ginger syrup? I need to find a good recipe for it so I can make Vodka & Ginger’s at home. I tried just making a simple syrup with infused ginger and it didn’t really work – it kinda made my throat burn.

  • Kristen

Umm… Target is SO ripping off Anthro. That Chevron dress – front – center. I just tried that on at Anthropologie yesterday! I’m thinking Target is cheaper. It better be! What great taste you have 🙂

    • Tracy

oooooooooooh. I instantly dismissed it cuz it didn’t fit over my WIDE hips. I shoulda known!

  • Seriously Sassy Mama

I feel you with the moving. My husband has decided to go warp speed and get everything in the new house by Friday, instead of next week like we planned. Super busy here. Gin and gingerale I will have to try! Love your pictures. I miss gas stations with flags!

    • Tracy

whoa! that’s totally warped speed. my husband gave us a goal of saturday and then it turned into sunday 🙂 I knew we wouldn’t get it done by saturday.

GOOD LUCK WITH YOUR MOVE! xo

  • Emma

Love your blog (and podcast!). You keep me entertained during walks/runs:)

    • Tracy

awww! i love that i can say that i went on a walk/run. Thank you for working out for the two of us!

  • Julie @BananasForBourbon

Your freezer looks more delicious than mine. So does that bread topped with cheese, roasted peppers, and sausage. Whaaaaat!? Want that!

  • Ellen W

Get used to holes in the knees especially if Cooper likes to kneel instead of sitting criss-cross applesauce. I have yet to find a brand of jeans (including Children’s Place, Gymboree, Levis, Old Navy and Wranglers) that my 6 yr old has outgrown before blowing out one or both knees.
