My Everyday Life: Week 30

Here’s what this past week looked like:

THIS. And then my phone battery died.

My Everyday Life // week 30

Still walking/jogging. My Fitbit  is keeping me SUPER motivated. I think I’m at the point where walking is becoming a habit and I am SUPER THRILLED.

My Everyday Life // week 30

Cleaning the house before company arrives.

My Everyday Life // week 30

I set up a little area next to Cooper’s side of the kitchen table. We go through a few “sight words” everyday.

My Everyday Life // week 30

YOU GUYS. I’M OBSESSED. It tastes a lot like my Lemon Blueberry Ice Cream Sandwich recipe.

But you don’t have to make an ice cream sandwich and it’s yogurt!

My Everyday Life // week 30

Breakfast for Casey. Fried egg over my super loose interpretation of Spanish rice. Side of corn tortilla.

My Everyday Life // week 30

I had the breakfast tacos.

My Everyday Life // week 30

Getting froyo. Making silly faces while waiting for Casey. Look at those green eyeballs.

My Everyday Life // week 30

I love ferns.

My Everyday Life // week 30

A beautiful spill.

My Everyday Life // week 30

Sometimes my head is lined up with something on my laptop. Today it’s cucumbers in a blender inside my head.

Which reminds me…I need to clean my screen.

My Everyday Life // week 30

I really liked working on these Cucumber Watermelon Popsicles. I think it’s important to step out of the box creatively. And I’ve been in a BLACK background box for awhile.

I find it impossible to resist pressing doorbells. I wonder where my son gets it…

My Everyday Life // week 30

Chair orgy.

My Everyday Life // week 30

Orange socks & the marriage of milk + egg.

My Everyday Life // week 30

Making this Blueberry Pudding Cake for my dad’s birthday. The entire cake was gone between 4 people…

My Everyday Life // week 30

My cousin Elaine brought me flowers….that matched my decor!

My Everyday Life // week 30

Yes! I put popcorn out as an appetizer. I am obsessed. Get ready for an epic popcorn recipe soon.

My Everyday Life // week 30

Grilled steak, zucchini, a corn saute thing kinda like this one but with mint & basil, tomato bruschetta. DINNER!

My Everyday Life // week 30

This is the sign you see a lot in the Bay Area. Also ORANGE SOCKS.

My Everyday Life // week 30

This boy loves to people watch.

My Everyday Life // week 30

Sitting in traffic in SF and a bird flies by.

My Everyday Life // week 30

I wonder what their clothes smell after they’ve been out all day.

My Everyday Life // week 30

My dad worked in this building. I used to love the deli sandwiches next door. I’d get a hot pastrami with mustard.

My Everyday Life // week 30

When I wear yellow, I notice yellow.

My Everyday Life // week 30

The view on the top of the Marriott Marquis in San Francisco!

My Everyday Life // week 30

Thank you for inviting me to your event, Matt!  #travelbrilliantly  #houswives #ineedtowatchatlanta #andmaybejersey

My Everyday Life // week 30

Waiting in line with my dad & my niece.

My Everyday Life // week 30

We had a special lunch at Tony’s. I totally have my dad’s hands. (these are his)

My Everyday Life // week 30

Cooper met (sweet) Caroline this week!

My Everyday Life // week 30

They HIT IT OFF.

My Everyday Life // week 30

Thankful for this.

My Everyday Life // week 30

And for feeling the sun behind me.

My Everyday Life // week 30

Have a wonderful weekend!

  • Amy /// The Anxious Hippie

So proud of your walking and so grateful that we are Fit Bit friends…it’s nice to be less alone on this journey to being stronger and healthier. Obsessed with those sunset photos, your yellow dress and of course Cooper’s little eyeballs! Love to you, friend! xoxo

  • Averie @ Averie Cooks

The nature pics with the sun shining – just incredible!!!!

Congrats on running/walking becoming a habit. I’m a lifelong runner (and walker) and truly can’t imagine not doing it. I would not be pleasant to be around 🙂 It’s just my stress relief and feel so much better about everything after a nice run or walk. Happy for you!

Cooper and you are adorable together!

  • Julie

Are those red sandals Saltwater sandals? I am currently obsessed… even though I don’t own any.

And that building with the hanging laundry… I totally recognize from when we are in the Bay Area. I am always curious of precisely the same question.

Happy weekend to you and yours!

    • Tracy

They are! I highly recommend them. And the cool part is that when you get them wet they form to your feet better! I wore them throughout my pregnancy. They’re great.

  • Siobhan

Gorgeous photos as always! I love seeing other people’s locations and what their lives are like. The yellow roses Elaine brought you are like the roses on your dress…very cool!

  • Jenn

I got a fit bit two days ago and am obsessed. Have been a conference and completely surprised how many miles I’ve walked – almost 10 miles! Once again your everyday life looks wonderful. I hope you have another lovely week.

    • Tracy

That’s totally why I got it. I’m so curious to see how many steps I take on days when I KNOW I’ve walked a ton.

  • Denise

I thought I lost my fitbitch last week, and went insane. It felt like I lost a limb. Then I found it the next morning hooked onto my bathroom; because I am addicted to it, I wear it everywhere!

    • Tracy

Hahaha. Did you mean to type fitbitch? I thought I lost my second one yesterday and freaked OUT for 2 minutes until I found it on my pants.

  • cindy

that chair orgy had me cracking up! and I love that you put out popcorn, I’ve been obsessed lately, too!

great work on the fitness! I’ve been working harder on mine and while I still do it begrudgingly and I feel awkward about it for some reason, but, it’s happening more often and with consistently and I am feeling really good about that! Get it, girl!

  • Kelsey

In the past few weeks it seems you’ve shared a bit more about the story behind the photos and I love getting the glimpses into what’s going on in your life. Not sure if it is intentional or not but I like it! Lovely photos!

  • Healthy Life

Awesome to view all pics of your everyday life and awesome to know more about you.

  • Haley @ Cheap Recipe Blog

I just got a FitBit and am loving it! It’s so great to have all that data to see what’s working and what’s not.

  • Virginia

These Everyday Life posts remind me to look for the pretty things in my day. Thank you for inspiring!

  • Tami-TeacherGoesBackToSchool

Popcorn as an appetizer is such a great idea – especially topped with garlic and olive oil. Yum!

Love, love, love that yellow flowered dress. Stunning!

  • Emily @ Life on Food

Your steak dinner looks fabulous. So much summer going on that plate. Love the random shots.

  • Tara

I really love your hair. I almost print off a picture of you and brought it to my hairdresser, but then I chickened out because I have really long hair. Someday . . .

  • Carolyn

Gorgeous pictures, Tracy! I’m really tempted to get a FitBit now. I’ve been going to the gym at least three times a week and I’d love to start tracking my sleep as well.

  • narcissusrikki

I love your home decor. It speaks to my black and white soul.

What kind of headphones do you have? I need to get a pair like them… my ears reject earbuds, especially when I’m in motion. They just pop right out.

    • Tracy

Thanks!! They’re Skull Candy. I love them because those ear buds NEVER stay in my ears!

  • Heidi - Apples Under My Bed

OMG Tracy! I totally blushed and then laughed out loud when reading “chair orgy”. So good!!
    Heidi xo

  • Anna

Fact: lady, you are simply gorgeous! And I love your perspective on the world around you. Kudos.

  • Nicole

Just beautiful. I am a new fan thanks to blog lovin’, my phone and constantly nursing a baby. Can I ask about your Popsicle molds? Are they small…like toddler sized? Where can I find them? They’re cute.

  • Jayne

    Super Cooper!

  • Mrs. ManyHats

Ok, you’ve got me seriously considering getting a Fit Bit now. Must start conversation with Mr. Mister and weight loss buddy asap.

  • Jamie

Chair orgy – HAHAHAHA! That made my day. And made me notice the Love and Lust pillows that I now have to make. Thanks Tracy for an awesome Monday morning. = )

  • Renee @ Awesome on $20

Having to hang our clothes out sucks. They do not smell like a field of flowers, and they’re usually stiff and crunchy. I hate it. Great photo!

  • Mary

Glad to see I’m not the only one obsessed with the Liz Lemon frozen yogurt! I hope it isn’t a special edition. Try making a gingersnap ice cream sandwich with it – so good! Thanks for doing what you do!

    • Tracy

THAT STUFF IS DREAMY. But seriously. I rarely ever eat ice cream or yogurt but OMG I finished that stuff SO FAST.

  • Flora Margaret

    bt dubs, you’re adorbs.
