Bananas + Peanut Butter + Chocolate

Banana Peanut Butter Chocolate // shutterbean

When I’m looking for a sweet/satisfying snack, THIS IS IT.  If you’re looking for justifications for this indulgent snack, peanut butter has protein, banana is a fruit and chocolate has antioxidants.  I may or may not use a bowl when I’m having this snack….a spoon is all you need.

    Perfect combination!! I am seriously addicted to anything nut butter!! You should try cashew butter, so creamy!!

    Yummm…. I make a variation of this all the time w mashed banana, peanut butter, drizzle of maple syrup, pinch of sea salt & flax seed. So good!!

  • Maryea {happy healthy mama}

    In college I constantly snacked on bananas, chocolate syrup, and mini marshmallows. What you have pictured above is the grown up version I eat now. 🙂

    Love this! I would throw it all in a blender with some milk to make a smoothie/milk shake!

  • Taylor

    I can’t do bananas, but I do this with apples! It’s delicious!

    I soso agree! All-natural foods are all-good in my book. And zero indulgence just leaves cravings!

  • Julie {Bananas for Bourbon}

    I like to do this with frozen bananas. Whip them up in a food processor with peanut butter and cocoa powder. No added sugar and it’s like ice cream! So good.

  • Claire @Lemon Jelly Cake

    Why have I never thought of this?! It looks delicious! There’s a sad looking half of a banana sitting on my counter and I claim it for this!

    I really like your version of a snack. Mine would be something totally boring. I would also like to eat your version of a snack as lunch, between two pieces of bread…

    Rock on! Currently I have Joy the Baker’s peanut butter banana chocolate bon bons in the freezer. I throw them in a blender with almond milk and call it a ‘smoothie’ Whatever.

  • Barbara

    Love! That’s the combo I put in my oatbran some week-ends. I eat that and I am good for hours and hours! Oh, and I add cinnamon too. Last Sunday night I made your roasted strawberries and your mint iced tea. I was so happy with both! I’ll definitely make them again…along with a bunch of your other recipes I’m planning. You inspire me!! 🙂 Oh!! And, your conversation with Joy about The Real World?! Oh my God! I loved it! I think it was Joy that asked you what your favorite season was…and I said–out loud, Seattle…and you said Seattle! Great podcast – as always 🙂

    I made a nice little bedtime sandwich with graham crakers, nutella and bananas the other night. It was ridiculously good and would have been even better with peanut butter!

  • TFORIA

    Nice photo – delicious combination! Maybe even with some ice cream…
