Hard Boiled Egg + Curry Powder

Hard Boiled Egg + Curry Powder

You may or may not have Easter eggs hanging out in your fridge. If you do and you’re looking for ways to eat some of your leftover eggs, try topping them with some spices. I’m usually a hard boiled egg purist and eat them with salt & pepper and maybe a little hot sauce if I’m feeling spicy. The other day I threw a little curry powder & kosher salt on top and really liked it. You could always try some celery salt, truffle oil, and/or a pinch truffle salt. I’ve been known to turn some hard boiled eggs into a egg salad sandwich sans mayo….

ooh, I’ll have to give this a try. I usually turn hard boiled eggs into lazy deviled eggs (hard boiled egg half with a generous portion of dijon mustard).

love it! my house has been rocking soft boiled eggs a lot lately. cutting out the oil or butter for frying can help make a really healthy day! i’ll try the eggs w/ curry powder soon.

I’ve always had trouble eating easter eggs. It’s not that they’ve been dyed–it’s that they’ve been hidden all over the house and out of refrigeration. I know everyone does it but my brain won’t let me.

That being said, I’m gonna do this! (With specifically designated snack-only eggs)

I’m picky about my hardboiled eggs…6 minutes on the boil then out those babies come pronto. The yolk should be firm but creamy and deep golden yellow. Slice them in half length-wise, sea salt and a generous drizzle of a very syrupy balsamic and I’m a happy camper.

Genius!! My southern roots have me craving the old fashioned mayo, mustard, celery salt, worchestershire sauce, salt, pepper deviled eggs topped with paprika. I’ll have to try curry pepper on behalf of my grown up taste buds.

They’re also great with turmeric (one of the ingredients of most ‘curry powders’) and as turmeric is also good for your heart, helps you breath better and is now being touted as a ‘miracle spice’, you get the health benefits as well 🙂

    Great blog, btw.

Dill Weed is also really good! Pretty much anything that is good in tuna salad is good on a hard boiled egg!
