Here’s what this past week looked like:

“So when we miss each other, we both know that we feel the same way.”  (his idea)

My Everyday Life: Week 13

Highlight of the week. Going away with Casey! We spent last Saturday/Sunday in Napa.

We stayed at the Andaz. It was nice, but pricey and our room was kinda small.

My Everyday Life: Week 13

DATE NIGHT!!!

My Everyday Life: Week 13

Perusing Oxbow Market.   I got some good tinctures in this place.

My Everyday Life: Week 13

My Everyday Life: Week 13

Waking up in a hotel room. Staying in bed for awhile binge watching Property Brothers on HGTV.

My Everyday Life: Week 13

We went to our favorite place for brunch- Ad Hoc. I wrote about it once.  We’ve been there like 6 times.

My Everyday Life: Week 13

They served us Corned Beef & hash and we added on a side of Chocolate Chip Pancakes for Brunch.

THEY WERE AMAZING. Totally light and fluffy and not too chocolatey.

My Everyday Life: Week 13

Picking Cooper up from my parents. I love seeing my dad’s handwriting with Cooper’s.

So sweet. I am so grateful for my parents.

The mention of your parents made me misty-eyed! Such a simple thing to express gratitude, but so meaningful. I enjoy your Sunday “chronicle” every week!

  • jamie levine

I’m going to be thinking of Ad Hoc’s chocolate chip pancake all day now. Your new headshot is gorgeous too!

  • Kate

I LOVE your little gallery wall!

  • Emily @ Life on Food

Oh carnitas on a sweet potato sound so amazing. I am going to try that soon. I love Napa and you hit some of my favorite places. If only I didn’t live on the East coast. So far away…

  • Katie

Carnitas and sweet potato sounds amazing. Also, I love that garage door print – so funny!

  • Shana

Gorgeous new headshot! I am so jealous/wistful for your weather/flowers/spring foods – it snowed again here this morning – stupid Canada!!

  • Amy

That first picture just melted my heart. I love the idea of a montage that I can see from my side of the bed. Just need to move into the new house now and put all these great ideas to work! Thanks Tracy.

    I adore your complementary “tattoos.”

  • Katie @ The Surly Housewife

Weekends away are the best! Thank you for sharing yours 🙂

  • Annie

Those matching “tattoos”, oh man so sweet!! 🙂

  • Holly

I am curious about the tinctures you purchased at Oxbow Market. I just took an herbalism class today with Rebecca Altman of Kings Road Apothecary in L.A.http://shop.kingsroadapothecary.com/collections/everything I think you would enjoy her blog, Cauldrons and Crockpots. http://www.cauldronsandcrockpots.com/ I also love your art wall. I have so many photos and framed artwork from my kids that need to be displayed.

    • Tracy

I got a few ginger ones and Casey got one that tasted like Necco Wafers…

  • Ann

The first flower is a waratah and the second lot of pink flowers are on a tea tree bush. These are both native to Australia.
Your floral and stripes look great too!

  • Annie Bean

Tracey, I love your site, your food, and the JTB Podcast… Now, I’m just waiting for YOUR cookbook. We love your bahn mi sandwich recipe! My big, crazy Thai hubby devours it!

  • Libby

    A. I don’t always watch Property Brothers but when I do, it’s four hours worth, in a hotel room. (The only time we ever see this show)
    B. I’m trying to really get into sweet potatoes (I don’t love them but I’m working on it) and you make it look so much easier.

  • Jamie

Matching tattoos – you’re killing me with the sweetness. I hope my little guy feels the same way when he’s Cooper’s age. The floral absolutely goes with the stripe, especially when you add some bling! = )

  • Amanda @ Once Upon a Recipe

So glad I read this post today – I have a crap ton of kale in my fridge that I need to use. Giving your kale coconut salad a try for dinner tonight!

  • Kathleen Hilton

    Love the parallel missing tattoos.

  • Jennifer

    Looks like a great week!

This week I turned 35. Gah.

Oh goodness… that was one awesome week, sweetpea 🙂 thank you for the nod(s) and way way more for your friendship! xoxoxo 🙂

  • Leslie

Oh my. My husband and I stayed at a hotel last weekend and totally binged on Property Brothers, too. What better way to while away the morning!

    • Tracy

I’ve wondered if it’s because it’s the only good show that’s on? But then we sit there and have a discussion of what we like and don’t like and we’re not interrupted and it feels like LUXURY.

  • Lindsay Jo

You are quite possibly the coolest person ever. That floral striped dress is amazing. You eat so well, and I really admire your life posts and how much you cook at home. Thanks for sharing your goings-on with all of us!

    • Tracy

Oh goodness. Thank you for your sweet comment. I am so glad you are here 🙂
