There is some amazing photography in this post, Tracy! Love the rainy moments.

  • Mallory @ Because I Like Chocolate

I love that picture of the straw, what a neat angle!

  • Jade @ Bits & Bobs

Those raindrop pictures and that cake. YUM!
    🙂

  • Emily @ Life on Food

I haven’t had taco night in far too long. Lovely pictures this week.

  • Victoria

How about a bullet point comment?

-Glad you got a last trip to see Joy in CA!

-Do you fry your corn tortillas?

-Cooper and the whipped cream are funny! What is it with kids and whipped cream? I used to work at a coffee shop and quite a few kids would FREAK if you put whipped cream on their drinks.

    -Cool straw picture!

    • Tracy

      -thanks!
      -yes I do
-i don’t know what it is about whipped cream! COME ON, kids!
      -thanks 🙂

  • Shauna

Now that’s a full week! Fabulous! xo

  • Heidi Jo

    Tracy,

Your photos are always so beautiful. You have such a unique perspective. I absolutely love visiting this post every week.

This week I loved the photo looking down through the straw. Such a neat capture!

    You are an inspiration.

  • Ronni

Tracy, did you two podcast this week? Or was that from last week?
Cooper has amazing eyes. That is all 🙂

    • Tracy

we did! it’s not up yet because Joy’s having some computer technical difficulties. stay tuned!

  • Amy

I just laughed all over again at that poor woman hustling through the rain. Escalated SO QUICKLY.

Loved our time together, love you friend.

  • Traci

I want some of that warmer rain–it’s nothing but snow and more snow where I am! And I can’t wait to see what those two new desserts are all about.

  • Amy

    cake recipe?? it looks amazing!

  • Jenna

WOW, Tracy! You’ve been on a roll lately, first with your recipes (I’ve made the garlic bread twists, your lemon chicken and your spinach dukkah salad in the past couple of days) and now with your photography, these are some AMAZING shots! You should get some of them framed! (Most of them!)

  • Kristen

Tracy, your glasses… May I ask where you found them? I’m due for an upgrade and these are so lovely!

  • Amy

I love these posts! I am so jealous of the rain too.
So happy you got to see Joy before her big move 🙂
My little sister was always the same about whipped cream and still is as an adult. I don’t understand what’s wrong with her; even as a kid I could demolish a bowl of cream by myself 🙂

  • Michelle

Looks like a fun week ! I love the photos you take …especially the rain drops and shadows !

  • Ludina

Have you ever got the chance to visit case study houses in LA? It’s a project from the Sixties, a beautiful series of houses built by relevant architects, with the main purpose of creating “The house” for modern families and couples. It really is amazing

And, a non-sequitur: your photos, and unique perspective on everyday life always hits me as impressive. You and Joy are really and inspiration.

  • Heidi - Apples Under My Bed

That cake! LA looked super fun, what an ace city. That straw shot is just blowing my mind!!! x

  • Adrianna from A Cozy Kitchen

AHH! So glad we finally met. Had such a good time on Saturday. Isn’t Whitney’s place da cutest? Isn’t that house across the street a freaking dream? I stare at it everyday when I walk past. Hope to see you soon! xo

  • Lani

The pictures of Cooper melt my heart. You two have an awesome relationship!

  • Jessica @ Living La Vida Holoka

Always such a beautiful collection of photos!

  • Alanna

Your pictures are so fun, and I love the haircut! Thanks for sharing all of that beauty.

  • Jenna

I kinda need to know more about that cake with the pretzels….was it homemade or from a bakery? What was it filled with? This cake has haunted me for the past two days…
    thanks
    Jenna

    • Tracy

it’s a joy the baker cake! It will be in her next cookbook. Peanut butter chocolate cake!

      • Jenna

I should have known– thanks I will pre-order the book when i can !
        Jenna

  • Alisha B

I never noticed Cooper’s leftie-ness until this post. I’m so intrigued by it now that both of my twins are left handed and working on their writing. Does Cooper ever do mirror or upside down letters?

    • Tracy

sometimes his d’s and b’s get mixed up but that’s about it!

      • Alisha B

I’m envious. Both of mine do mirror or upside down letters. They’re still a bit young to grasp why but it’s tough teaching opposite handed kiddos to write.

  • meg

Awesomeness! Where did you get the necklace you are wearing in the first photo of you with your pipe cleaner fascinator? I want one!

  • Flora Margaret

Always love your photos. Your boy is so beautiful. Miss mine at that age…now 16 and still beautiful, but…hairier and no longer cuddly. : (
love your down the straw photo. you’re a genius.

  • Carrie

    Tracy,
