Spiked Blueberry Lemonade

Spiked Blueberry Lemonade!

Today is my birthday. August 18th!  AND IT’S MONDAY AND I HAVE TO WORK.

I think that give me a pass to not write a long-winded post about this drink.

This is the last cocktail I had as a 34-year-old.  It’s lemonade spiked with gin and finished with fizzy blueberry soda. It’s been one of my favorite drinks this summer. I’m gonna be craving this come winter. But that’s cool, I’m gonna step up my toddy game this year.

What will 35 year old Tracy enjoy? WHO KNOWS. I hope it involves bourbon because….

***HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME****

And we’re off!

Let’s start with the garnish first.  I’ve been wanting to use our new cocktail picks and I finally have an excuse!

GIN + BLUEBERRY SODA + LEMONADE

(Trader Joe’s has sparkling blueberry juice)

(they also have lemonade too)

(my Trader Joe’s has Hendrick’s)

(does yours?)

(it seems so crazy that in some states you have to go to a liquor store at certain hours to get booze!)

Ice in all highball glasses. Gin goes in. About 1 1/2 shots. If you go 1 1/2, you might as well go 2.

I might go three…BIRTHDAY.

Top with lemonade.

Follow with blueberry soda.
