Love the new coloring book. I’m curious about your colored pencils – I googled and they are oil based. Would you recommend those or the Prismacolor ones? I’m new at coloring (thanks to you) and there’s so many pencil options, I don’t know where to start. Thanks!

    • Tracy

I like mine! I’ve had them since college so I haven’t really tried many of the Prismacolors.

      • Jane M

I’m a Prismacolor freak! They’re the only pencils I’ve tried. My current set are down down to nubs since I’m crazy for my Johanna Basford books! I’ve got to check out your book. Looks like fun fun fun.

  • Jane M

PS Tracy did you make Mark Bittmans tater tots? I’m making more tomorrow!

  • Sara

I have the exact same Jacobsen travel salt!

  • LIA

And now, we are going for ramen this lunchtime!! Mmmmmmm!

  • kt

A quick tip about Kittea…they only let kids into the cat area if they are 9 and up. Cattown Cafe in Oakland will let two kids (of any age) in per adult. The people there couldn’t be nicer.

  • Victoria

I love that you travel with your own salt! I’ve never even thought of doing that. 🙂

Do you often order “family style” and then split the food up between you? Or is that just how that restaurant works?

I’m going to need to know more about that smore inspired dessert you tasted!!!! It looks AMAZING.

Did your niece spend the summer with you guys? I bet she enjoyed it just as much as you did!!!!

You’ve got me craving potatoes every which way after looking through these pictures of your dinners at home. TATER TOTS!!!!

    • Tracy

We always order family style and share everything.
That s’mores dessert with a pudding pie! it was so good
My niece spends the summer with my parents and I had her spend the night a bunch of times. I love having her around.

    Tracy,

I’d love to have that beautiful photo of Coop. Nana loves him!

  • Maggie Hanson

I’m so excited to be heading to the Bay area next month. I’m a wine rep and one of the perks of the job is that I can go on lots of tours and tastings up there and call it “work-related” 🙂 I’m going to be in Healdsburg for one of the days and I’m psyched to check out the places you pictured above – Barndiva looks DELISH but if you think there’s another place that tops it, let me know. Thanks as always for your beautiful pictures and blog!

  • Nissa

I just got my Wild Unknown tarot deck! Isn’t it crazy beautiful?!

  • Hilary

I’m post-tonsillectomy right now.. so catching up on your blog makes me happy.. And those potato chips look so dang good. (I’m on a no crunchy, spicy, sharp food diet.. aka the worst) 😉
