Persimmons with Goat Cheese & Sage

Persimmons with Goat Cheese & Sage -a perfect Autumn Snack. Check it out on Shuterbean.com!

I was frying some sage in butter for a recipe yesterday and decided to turn leftovers into a little snack. I’m still going strong on my persimmon obsession!  We have sliced fuyu persimmons with a spoonful of goat cheese topped with fried sage. To fry the sage, just melt a tablespoon of butter in a small skillet and brown sage in the butter until it starts to crisp. Transfer to a paper towel and try not to eat them all.

It’s a sweet savory snack that will perfume your house. Try Persimmons with Goat Cheese & Sage as an appetizer for your next get-together!

I love the fact that you drop this phrase so casually: “I was frying some sage in butter.” Um, can I come hang out at your place ALL THE TIME (especially snack time and cocktail time?)

Um, I have seen Nothing like this before?! Thank you for being so clever 🙂

I have never eaten a raw persimmon. I see them in stores all the time, and went so far as to buy a few, only to let them rot on the countertop. I’m inspired to try again after seeing this gorgeous snack!
