Giraffes in the wild can’t or else they’d be eaten.

I love Ella! She’s so beautiful.

  • Sharon / tpt

How to pick a favorite out of this photo tour?! Impossible! Oh, okay .. The flamingos. I’d love to put an oversized framed retangular shot of those babies on a big wall in my Cali living room.

  • Nikole

Like your blog, Shutterbean. Il est gai, foisonnant, créatif, alerte. Et on voit que vous aimez la vie et le bonheur ; que la couleur habite vos jours et la fantaisie votre maison. La maison du bonheur ?

    • Tracy

What’s up, Nikole? I didn’t respond to you because I don’t speak French. I didn’t have the time to google translate and when I did because I saw that you had tried to say thank you with my name, I just thought it was peculiar. I don’t understand what you’re trying to say…but maybe that’s because google doesn’t translate well.

      • Kaley

I don’t really speak French, but I think she’s saying your blog is creative, happy, etc. And your house seems to be the house of happiness. She also refers to your house as “your fantasy home.”

Annnyway, I LOVE the pea bubbles picture. I don’t know why, but I just do. I think I saw it on Snapchat? Anyway, I could look at it all day.

  • Monica B.

what an amazing week…kinda like i wish i was there…. 😉 ella is so cute! love your spring outfit….

  • Emily S

Ella is so lovely! If you don’t mind me asking.. how did you know you were ready for another kitty? I am going through a similar situation myself.

    • Tracy

      What a good question!
We had been thinking about getting a new kitty for a few years now, but we decided to hold off until Pinot passed because we didn’t want to disrupt our household. After Remy died, Pinot became a new cat and seemed to be happier being without another cat in the house. Cooper and Pinot never really bonded so it was hard for me to see Cooper be bummed that he didn’t have a pet buddy.

When Pinot died, it was obvious to me that we need a pet in our house. Our home felt really weird without her. My friend told me how she regretted jumping right in an getting a new cat after her cat died and I took that to heart. I went to look at cats for about 5 weeks (every week) to be around them and contemplate what we were doing. There were a few cats we wanted to adopt but there were a few red flags that prevented us from taking the plunge.

When we met Ella, we immediately fell in love. She’s been wonderful so far. She loves up Cooper and fits right into our family.

  • mal

your weeks and these posts are so inspiring. thank you for always sharing 🙂

  • Kim

Ella looks like such a sweetheart…lovely to hear that she is fitting in well with her new family. 🙂 The paws on the to do list is my fave pic this week!

  • Libby

Giraffes are my most favorite animal. They blow my mind. They’re so huge and beautiful and bizarre and glorious. So, really, they’re just like me and maybe that’s why I like them. 😛

  • Lisa Chase

I adore these posts! Your photography is stunning.

  • Trish O

Love the idea of polenta lasagna.

  • Gaby Dalkin

    Ella is so beautiful!

  • Sam Mahoney

I love your blog, Tracy! Your recipes are always delicious and I love your weekly posts!! I used to use the Bragg seasoning all the time until I found Seed Salt at a farmers market in San Diego. The three savory flalvors – curry, black truffle, and garlic cayenne – are so good on avocado toasts, egg salad (or any salad), and simple grilled meats. In reality, I put it on everything 🙂
You should check it out: http://be-runa.com/shop/. I try to get some every time I’m in SD

  • Tania

I love your blog and I’m a big follower. Love the recipes you post and make them religiously. Do you mind me asking what breed cat is Ella? I love Ella’s ears! I haven’t taken the plunge since my little Kiwi left us, but I think about it all the time.

  • Jemma

Oh Ella! What a pretty name. I’m so excited to see Ella’s adventures in the future. I always love your Everyday Life posts Tracy, thank you for sharing with us all!

  • heather

Looks like one lucky little fur baby and a lucky family she came to live with.

  • Mary @ LOVE the secret ingredient

Gorgeous as always! Fun to go from cheese pizza to some nice PLTs!

  • Priya

The picture of the three kids outside at Helen Jane’s house reminds me of the Chilli Peppers in Give It Away!

  • Jen

Love all the pics, especially the top one of that giraffe! I think i might’ve posted this comment on another post too, so sorry

  • Nikole

It was just a joke, Tracy, don’t worry about it. I will try to put words in english, now, even if my english is bad, and will continue to watch and read your blog with happiness 🙂 Have a good day !

  • Rachael

I had no idea about giraffes, and we see them at the zoo weekly!! So interesting. My son is obsessed with flamingos because of the book “Sylvie” and even carries a mini stuffed one around with him at times. I love, love, love the glasses from your grandmother. How darling. And super cute outfit!

  • lynn @ the actor's diet

    Those giraffe photos are breathtaking!
