Those cuddle pics with kitty are the best! Love!

  • Ellen

I love, love , love your blog!! I also love your cat- what breed ? I’ve always had Persians- have two right now. I really love those ears on yours, and I bet you don’t need to brush everyday either! My Everyday Life is so inspiring, your photos and writing are superb. I always love the quotes too, like the one featured in “Collective art”. Thank-you for sharing your family and life.

  • Jane M

I can see the real joy in your face when you’re pictured with your new kitty! Happy week 20!

  • Paula

I would love to see a post on your succulents or just your garden in general. Succulents are my obsession right now and I have a ton in my classroom. The kids think they are from another planet and love to check them out. Any preferences you have or what works or what doesn’t in your garden and how you go about separating, propagating or just taking care of them would be awesome! Thanks!

    • Tracy

Let me see what I can do! 🙂

    • Erica

I would second this request. I do pretty well with my succulents, but I would love to have a better idea of how to separate and propagate them.

  • Silvia

The kitty is the sweetest, but in some pictures she looks like she is uncomfortable or in pain. I read somewhere that she has/had (?) IBS. I have a cat that has had IBS since she was a kitten (she is now 13) and it took me a while to get it figured out of how I can help her, because the vets brushed it of or had no answers and it did not get better. She was already 8 and things had gotten worse, she had lost weight and was in pain a lot of the time. Then, I found a medical food for her, Purina ENV, and metronidazole, and she’s been a happy and healthy cat since then. It still flares up and then she has the same look in her eyes like your kitty 🙁 But a few days of metronidazole and she is fine again.

In any case, just in case it can help. She is just a sweetie!

Those pics of Cooper and Ella finally getting that cuddle time, they are so perfect! Did you take them on your camera or just an iPhone? They are so well shot!

  • Monica B.

Love seeing these pics. When I saw the food, I wanted to noch. When I saw the sandals, I wanted to put them on my feet. When I saw the succulents I wanted to collect them. When I saw Ella, I wanted to meet her. When I saw the organized desk, I wanted to organize everything. Happy Week 20! Enjoy week 21 with your family!! 😉

  • sarah

would you, could you, please please please do a post on how you take such awesome macros shots? you’ve shared before that you take them with your iPhone – I keep practicing but am still struggling to get such sharp, detailed close-ups with my iPhone 6. Any tips – or even a full post – would be appreciated!

    • Tracy

Thanks Sarah! It’s mostly in editing. I use Snapseed and I boost the sharpness up a bit so it gets more of the detail/edges.

      • Sarah

I just can’t even get that close without them going blurry on me! I’ll keep practicing! I love snapseed 😉

  • Stacee

I love starting every Monday with your “My Everyday Life” posts. Kick-starts my week and inspires me in myriad ways. Thank you so much!

Question: Which Bill Murray decal did you buy (white/black/etc.) I must have one too, but that Etsy seller doesn’t show the options. Thanks for any details!

  • Christie

Radiant Human! Yes! Had mine down on Sunday in Oakland. So much fun!

  • erinlucy

Wait…the parking inspector GAVE you $5?! I love that. I also love the photo of you and Cooper together.
I’m totally burning out right now too. We both need a vacation. xo

  • Mia

Hi Tracy! I love your blog and have been following along for a couple of years now. I am coming up to SF this weekend and while I’ve been to SF a lot it will be my first time staying in San Rafael. Do you have any restaurant recommendations that are required Marin County food spots? I love Italian food and Greek food the most, if that helps! I think I want to spend a day going to Point Reyes and the Muir Woods, and maybe stop in Sausalito too… There is always too much to do in the Bay Area. Thank you in advance!

    • Tracy

oh how fun! Sol Food is great (in San Rafael) and also I love the doughnuts at Johnny’s doughnuts (the cinnamon roll is my favorite). Murray Circle at Cavallo Point is great (it’s in Sausalito). I have yet to find a really good Greek place in Marin 🙁

  • Kelsey

Baby Ella- she is just too much!!

  • Heghineh

I’m guessing Your day was full of adventure. You have a great eye! Thanks for sharing.
