Intentions for the Week

Looking to get your head in the game? Tracy from Shutterbean makes a weekly TO DO LIST called her Intentions for the Week. Here's what this week looks like:

Here we are! MONDAY. A new week with some time shifting.  I spent the extra hour (or 7) cleaning our house yesterday. It feels good to start the week with an (almost) clean house. I worked on my office/studio and cleaned up this corner that was driving me nuts. If you’re on Instagram, sometimes you can watch some of my #highstraightenance when I get in a zone.  The internet holds me accountable. Thank you, internet.

Here’s what my finished space looked like.

This week I have a few photoshoots to prep for. People are coming over so I’ll be more motivated to finish cleaning house. If you ever want to clean your house fast, INVITE PEOPLE OVER.

Someone asked me what Cooper wanted for Christmas and I was like…let me get through Thanksgiving first. But in the back of my mind, I’m already thinking about holiday cards and how I am going to move things in our living room to make room for a Christmas tree.  This week, I plan on mapping out our Thanksgiving + solidifying who brings what and what we’re going to have for breakfast the next day.

I also need to start eating healthier. Some bad habits have caught up with me…and I need to start making some better choices.

This is the time for me to look back at this post:

I think I really just need a Reset Button Salad

Last week was such a bust in terms of getting things done and meeting my goals. So…
    1. No more Halloween candy!
    2. Drink my pitcher of water everyday
    3. Build in enough time to walk to work
    4. Don’t just watch TV when I get home from work. The siren of Hallmark Christmas movies is loud, but seriously.

How do the Fitness Marshall videos work for you? I love him and his positivity, but I never feel like I get a lot out of the dance routines in terms of calorie burn. Maybe it’s because I’m the worst dancer ever?

I did 4 of his videos last night- which equals about 15 minutes? I was definitely sweating and I like that they’re not long. If I am doing a workout video on my computer my brain can’t handle a 20+ video.

I drink the MOST water of the day while I am preparing dinner! Drinking water helps to not PICK at what I am preparing – and since I generally workout after dinner (swimming) it helps to hydrate me and prevent muscle cramping. On a side note, once November hits, I get a bit undone as the year just flies by and then it’s January – and I’m like HOW DID THAT HAPPEN?

    This week:

    1. drink lots of water (I did well last week.)
    2. finish the last scarf
    3. make time to paint
    4. book a massage (My neck is making strange noises!)
    5. buy winter boots (It’s November. I’m running out of time.)

    this week:
deep breaths throughout the busy-ness (it’s such a full week)!
say “no” so you don’t get this busy again!
remember: thinking about dirt is harder than moving dirt
move that dirt, then rest rest rest, and between it all, s t r e t c h

I have to thank you for sharing the Fitness Marshall! He is fabulous and it’s a good way for me to get 15-20 mins or light cardio in the mornings, love it!

Love those spotted boxes in your office area… where are they from?
I recognize that floral box from Target from AGES ago, I have one very similar!
