Intentions for the Week

Looking to get your head in the game? Tracy from Shutterbean makes a weekly TO DO LIST called her Intentions for the Week. Here's what this week looks like:

Happy Monday, friends!

Did you have a good weekend?

I hosted breakfast with friends on Saturday after a long week of working through my clutter at home with my stylist friend Jessica. It was quite an exhausting process but we DID IT! And my house has clear surfaces and hardly any piles! Putting energy into one place means that energy is taken out of other places. This means I have so much laundry to catch up on, but it’s cool. I’ll put on a podcast and work through the pile. I also have one last paper pile to tackle. I’ve been putting it off for far too long. Maybe we can all agree to clear out something this week.

What’s causing you the most stress in your house right now and what can you do about it???

Now that I have an intentional space to write/art/play, I feel ready and prepared to get some work done this week. What about you?

Our dinning room table is the bane of my existence!!! It is the catch-all for everything that doesn’t have a place. I need to tackle that and making it stay clear a permanent thing! I also need to take a huge step in the self-help category and make an appointment with a therapist…

For so long I was not conscious of what came into my home so it piled up. Now that I’ve been clearing out, I’m addicted to the process and the end results! I will need to focus that energy somewhere else eventually. Wonder what will take the place?

I took a cue from my husband who finally craigslisted a few things and got them out of the house in 2 days. I had a Thread Up bag for far too long and gave myself the impression it would be a big thing or take forever. 15 minutes later, I was done, and I got it to the post office during a lunchtime errand. Phew. Minor tasks can still clear the headspace!

    Hi Tracy,
it’s so wonderful that you had help attacking those piles and stuff! Congrats on an almost clear place 🙂

The thing that’s giving me the most stress right now is quite similar: a lot of stuff we don’t need and that has been piling up. And our kids are growing up and will soon need some space for themselves (they are currently still sharing a room) and my mind is all about how to manage this within our appartement. This keeps me very occupied, but at the same time I have the daily routine to take care of and so all this ideas keep floating around in my mind… It’s somewhat exhausting and I feel like I’m constantly forgetting something.

Thanks for sharing your weekly list of intentions – it is very inspiring! Sina
