I've started to collect scraps of fruit & veggie leftovers throughout the week. I save the scraps in a bag in the fridge and pull stuff out to be juiced. It's a great way to get something out of the waste that feeding a toddler can create. A few cucumber spears here...a few slices of yellow bell pepper...beet greens leftover from a salad....
Suddenly, you have a healthy, vibrant juice.

This week's juice includes:
- beet greens
- cucumber
- yellow bell pepper
- some ginger for good measure
The best part is the color. Isn't it pretty? It's super refreshing too. I love how bell pepper tastes when it's juiced.

Now it's time for me to enjoy this frothy goodness.

It's amazing what leftovers can produce :)

you may just be swaying me toward a juicer. great way to use up all those scraps!
So beautiful, so tempting - I really want a juicer now.
I know this sounds gross, and of course sans coffee grounds and eggshells, but it is kind of like compost for your body - but in the best possible way. All those nutrients and vitamins are going into your skin and hair and bones and teeth. Soon you will produce tomatoes.
And attract raccoons.
L. I wish you made page a day calendars. I could use a dose of you daily. You crack my ass up!
Peachey- heheee! Do it girl!
This might be a dumb question but oh well! Do you use a juicer or can you get away with using a blender??
rocio- not dumb at all! i found a little article for you to read as I am not the juice guru (yet) http://www.happyjuicer.com/blenders-juicers.asp Hope this helps!
