Interview @ B R U N C H!

action shot!

Happy Thursday, Friends!

Wanna know why I'm obsessed with food? What inspires me? My tips on food blogging? What I love for Brunch?

You can eavesdrop on the conversation I had with my dear friend Christine. She's got a new blog --- Brunch!

I'm pretty sure you're gonna love her new space. I must tell you it's soo dreamy for a graphic design admirer like myself!

Please check it out!

And a big thanks to Whitney for taking my action shots!

Here I am working our the Scrambled Egg Turnovers!!

*MY* new lunch sack

I've been on the lookout for a new lunch sack for COOPER  because the one I've been using for his food broke. Stupid zippers. It was really cute too! It had navy & magenta apples. It was pretty girly, but I bought it because I liked it.  He wasn't at the age where he had an an opinion(he has one now!), so I took the liberty. It's my money, isn't it?!

I took a journey to San Francisco with my bff this past weekend, and spied this lunch sack within the first 15 seconds of walking into a cute little boutiquey shop. MINE!! IT MUST BE MINE!! And that's when the love affair started.

Here's a side shot. Yes I have dual monitors at work with my kid's mug on them! <3

I like it because:

  • It's bold.
  • We can learn the alphabet!
  • It's well insulated! Nothing is gonna spill into my big ass purse.
  • It stands out in my office fridge (don't take my shit!)
  • There's a convenient handle on top.
  • The velcro is SUPER strong.
  • I love the font & get nostalgic for that old timey *paper*
  • It's got a place where I can put Cooper's My name.

I found it for you on Amazon! There's some other cute stuff in the alphabet design too! I've got my eye on that spoon & fork! Look at the Floor Splat Mat!! The company is named Sugar Booger! Isn't that silly?

And while we're at it...let's see what I'm having for lunch today:

Vegetable Minestrone & a sweet potato with some butter! YUM

Sorry, Coops!! Momma is holding your lunch sack hostage. I'll buy you a special one when you are actually in school! Promise!

My life. Summer 2010.

I check on my plants at least twice a day. I like watching their progress. I do a lot of watering.

18 months

overalls

5 days ago Cooper hit the 18 month mark!!

For those of you who don't speak in the "months" language, I'm sorry!  He's a year and a half! I remember laughing at people who said their kid's age in months. I thought it was quite irritating in fact!  My brother totally makes fun of me. "Why can't you just say a year and a half?"  Now as a parent, I know there's a huge difference between months. This is Cooper at 16 months. He has changed soo much!

Dozens of other moms have told me that this age is the best stage and currently I agree 100%. I feel like I now have a little buddy instead of a little baby. He actually listens and helps; which makes a gigantic difference! Don't get me wrong-I do miss my little baby! But with this kid weighing almost 30lbs, it's so nice to be able to hold his hand while walking down the street instead of carrying him!

Today Casey and I are celebrating our 4th wedding anniversary! I am utterly amazed at how fast time flies. Where did it go?! We have been together as a couple for a little over 11 years, and I absolutely love growing older with him. He makes my world so much brighter.

Happy anniversary honey!

I love you!

Goodbye 2009!

We said goodbye to 2009 with lobster!  It's been a wonderful tradition at my parent's house for almost 10 years.

Last night we had 25lbs between 7 adults.  I'd say that's pretty good, right?

My brother Ryan showed Coop a few of the lobsters.

2 for 2010!!!

Meet Rhoda

I bought a juicer 5 months before I got pregnant with Cooper.  I was obsessed.  For the first three months, I juiced constantly.  I could not keep enough fruit & veg in my house to quench my thirst.  I thought to myself "This 200 bucks was soo worth it!  How could I never NOT juice?!"

Then I got pregnant and turned super lazy....The thought of lugging my machine out of the cabinet and cleaning up the mess prevented me from using it. What a waste of a fine machine!  Sigh.

This afternoon while Coop slept, I busted out Rhoda (the name I have for my juicer) and made something delightful!

Carrot, Red Pepper, Apple, Ginger & Celery juice:

what's in my juice!
