Momma, Bebe & Daddy are doing well! xoxoxo
Let the fun begin!
This is your mom speaking. You are due to arrive in give-or-take 3 weeks!!! Yikes. I am equally prepared and not prepared for your arrival.
This past weekend I ate almost a whole loaf of challah bread. I am TOTALLY convinced you loved EVERY second of it. Didn’t you? I know I did. How could you not? I felt guilty for 2.5 seconds and then realized that I have a bun (that’s you!) in the oven. A bun who will smile at me one day and be a carb addict just like his momma. So I guess it was worth the sacrifice. You will probably be the child who has eaten half the loaf of french bread before the clerk passes the barcode through the scanner…. Just don’t be that kid who eats all of the bread I was going to serve company! That kid makes mommies unhappy.
Besides the challah fiasco…you also went out to dinner with your grandparents, your dad, and your cousins Elaine & Bruce.
This is what you ate:

Just wanted to say a BIG THANK YOU you for all your comments! They totally made my day!
This 4th of July I’m making Magnolia Banana Pudding & some cupcakes for a BBQ we are attending. They were a hit last year, and I have been asked to do it again!
(look out for pics!)
I’m curious…What are you having/making?
I just read Whitney’s list of What She is Loving at this Moment….
and got inspired to share with you some of mine!

Besides my cats & my hubby… I looooove:
-The First Communion- mixed media piece by Erin E. Wilson
-Coffee Cuffs from Craftybitch.com -I keep one in my bag so I’m never without them!
-Bigelow Mentha Lip Shine -I carry one in every purse & there’s one in my car too! It’s refreshing!
-Sukie Sticky Notes- because Post-Its should BE this CUTE!!
-Neutrogena Norweigan Fast Absorbing Hand Cream- cuz I HATE it when hand creams leave your hands sticky. I like to apply it when I’m at a really long stop light in the car. It’s the only time I remember to do so!
-Method Aroma Pill- in Vanilla Apple Even though my house is a mess with the kitchen remodel, at least it’s smelling fresh!
-The FURminator- If I didn’t have this, my house would be filled with too many cat tumbleweeds to count! It’s WORTH every penny. I swear.
-This American Life Podcast- It helps me get through my long commute everyday! Their program on Showtime is really good too!
-This Blog CRACKS ME UP like you wouldn’t believe.
-I’m also enjoying the combo of Cranberry Juice, Lime & Sparkling water. MMMMMMM. It makes me think I’m having a cocktail when I’m at work!
That’s it for now!
Now share some of your current favorites! It’s fun!
________________________________________________________________________
woke up saturday morning….started the day off right:
ate my weight in oranges (not really)
went to the Maker Faire with the hubs & met some friends there:
Last week my mom made me an Orange Glazed Pound Cake from one Ina Garten’s cookbooks.
She gave me a whole loaf to take home. So dangerous! What a good momma!
So I cut into it this morning:
I cut up some farmer’s market strawberries using a trick I found in the current MS Living magazine.
Just use an egg slicer! It worked perfectly!
I took some honey, plain yogurt, a slice of the cake and assembled…
I scarfed this down!
The drizzle of honey was heavenly on top of the yogurt…
My husband leaped out of bed to find this waiting for him.
You can find the cake recipe here. Just look within the whole recipe and you’ll see the cake part.
Although.. a Raspberry Orange Trifle looks pretty awesome to me.
Don’t you agree?
It was so hot in our bedroom on Saturday morning, that we took off our thick/winter duvet cover and bought this new one. We must prepare for the warmer days ahead!
I really love it.
Our neighbors dropped off some beautiful lilacs from their garden….
I fed my green grape addiction…
I did a MASSIVE amount of gardening around the house. I’m pretty sure I will be sore tomorrow….
I put some hot links on the grill and we had ourselves a mini BBQ dinner as the sun was going down….
(*It was to honor the Red Sox game*-Casey says)
Casey helped me chop the onions…
Did I ever tell you how much I LOOOOOVE mustard??
There was nothing left in the end…
I also made chocolate chocolate chip cookies…but had a disaster! I’ll share the recipe when I MAKE IT WORK.
It was a nice mellow weekend. I hope you enjoyed yours too!
Off to watch more of Carnivale!
I spent this past weekend with my prettie/vegan best friend, Erin. Every year we try to see each other at *least* twice. She came down to visit this past weekend and we had loads of fun trying some vegan treats in the Bay Area! Of course we’re both really into food- so we did some damage at a few places…..
I started off by making Penne with Pesto, Asparagus & Roasted Pine-nuts (all vegan) for dinner on Thursday:
on the road to getting better…. each day the % of wellness increases! hooray!
p.s.- i think i just died and went to heaven looking at the martha stewart living prop room! guhh!!!
