Let me introduce you to what I’ve been eating for dessert for the past two months. Two months? Yes you heard that correctly. I’m totally obsessed. It’s a combo of Nonfat Plain Frozen Yogurt with a few small scoops of Mango Tangerine Sorbet. Both items come from the freezer/dessert section of Trader Joe’s. The combination is totally swoon-worthy.
I love the light creaminess of the plain/tart frozen yogurt and the tangy citrus-y sweetness of the mango tangerine sorbet. My taste buds love it and I think yours might too! Tangy, tart & sweet! I’ve been known to throw a few raspberries in the mix, but mostly I just eat a scoop or two of each flavor in a little bowl. It’s EXTREMELY low in fat too, so you won’t feel super guilty if you put extra scoops in your bowl. I hope your nearest Trader Joe’s stocks these items because you are in for a real treat if you can get your hands on some!
I know I could make my own Nonfat Plain Frozen Yogurt….
And my own mango tangerine sorbet.
But this is just too easy to pass up. Perhaps I’ll do that when they stop stocking it…which I hope is NEVER!

say somethingWhat a great idea, I never would have thought of that. By the way the blues and oranges in your photos are brilliant to look at!! Cheers!
What a great combo! I’ll take your advice and head to the freezer section today
Let me know what you think!
I’ve trie dthe yogurt- which is quite tasty- but never thought to mix with the sorbet- MUST TRY- this sounds so delicious! Thanks for the always useful low-fat dessert ideas!
OH wow! This looks delish! I am totally stopping at the Trader Joes near me to pick up one of each of those delicious items! Thanks for the low fat dessert ideas!!! I wonder if they have other sorbet flavors???
they do! there’s a raspberry one and a lemon sorbet!
i need a tj’s to open up down the street. tomorrow.
here here! agreed!
Getting this combo after work today!!
Wow…I love this combo. I have done something similar with those itty bitty “guilt-free” tubs of Haagen Daz – I’ve used the raspberry sorbet mixed with a little nonfat vanilla froyo. TJ’s is so much more friendly to the pocketbook, though – much more fruity goodness and vanilla froyo-ness can be had! I’m so in…it’s 90 and humid in New England today!!! thanks Tracy!
I tried it with the lemon sorbet and tossed a few fresh blueberries in for good measure – it was just what I needed on this 94 degree day here in SoCal! Thanks for the great suggestion. I love your photos too!
