current faves:

Every time I visit my dear friends up in Oregon, I always come back with great ideas, good organizing tips as well as cool new products to try.

My friend Jessica let me in on her lil secret.  Martha Stewart’s Lunch Cube.

I couldn’t find a link for one at Macy’s, but this is the brand that makes it.

yes!

It’s GENIUS. Look how it fits my items. And look how easy it packs up!

This will come in handy when Cooper and I are out and about and he’s at the sandwich eating stage.  I am really looking forward to it!  I bought one for myself for work.  At $4.99 each at Macy’s how can you beat that?

I spied these beautiful products over at my friend Erin’s house….and immediately fell in love with the packaging!  After doing dishes with the Dish Soap, I was convinced I NEEDED some.

J.R. Watkins Apothecary Home Care Dish Soap & Hand Soap

making kitchen prettie!

Imagine the scent of a lemon cake filling up your sink as you work on the dishes!

smells sooo good

It makes dish washing tolerable. That’s for sure! Now I don’t have ugly bottles sitting on my sink counter.

I just picked up this book from Amazon, and I am soooooo excited to work in the kitchen with it!

Super Natural Cooking, by Heidi Swanson of 101 Cookbooks

sooo excited to use this

I’ve been wanting to expand my horizons in the kitchen- add more greens and more GOOD-FOR-YOU food. This will do just the trick!

Speaking of Healthy…..

I am also in love with Pop Chips.  The BBQ flavor is sooo tasty & there’s hardly any guilt to eating them!

Dear pop chips

And the other night I spent almost 4 hours working on a spreadsheet of my staples/favorites at Trader Joes.  I am happy to report that it made grocery shopping yesterday much easier!

It pays to have a game plan when you go grocery shopping.  It’s my new favorite.

About to errand

I also got some Butternut Squash from my neighbor.  It’s one of my favorite foods she grows!

SCORE!

How about you?  What are your current faves?  Let’s share!

  • Grapeful

I love your posts on organization!

  • Laura

While camping a while back some other campers gave us some zucchini from their abundant garden. I got a little hooked on zucchini bread which I LOVE!

  • L.

Love this business. Mine are most def:

    – Ooba Hibiscus Soda (The ‘plain’ or original Hibiscus flavor is my favorite. It is SO GOOD)
    – David Leite’s Chocolate Chip Cookies, like a Decade late in the game, totally behind everyone else but they’re wonderful
    – OPI for Sephora nail polishes (Their taxicab yellow and hottest of pinks are amazing)
    – ‘The Bride’s Farewell’ by Meg Rosoff (So good, witty and spare writing)
    – Guacamole-flavored corn chips. THAT’S RIGHT.
    – That YouTube video where the guys are lipsynching to Miley Cyrus

    Classy and sophisticated list, right?

  • Megan

FYI, I’m 99% certain that Trader’s Joe’s popped potato chips = popchips, but they only come in a few flavors at TJ’s.

  • Kat

Wow, your organizing skills are great!

My current favorites are allrecipes.com for recipes, jello cups for snacking, brie on rosemary crackers, and chocolate or irish mint froyo from anywhere!

  • Tracy

megan-it would be great if the trader joes version are just like pop chips—then i can put them on my spreadsheet!

L- you have me googling now! tee

I wish my organizing skills were better. My problem is that I always find a new/better way to do something after I’ve gone through the first round of organizing. I am trying to learn to let go of stuff and really examine what I need and don’t need. It’s been a real challenge!

  • alex*strawberrylemonade

I love it all! This is so great Tracy….btw I use that JR Watkins schtuff too! I love the lemon smell. My only weeeee complaint is that you can’t control the amount of soup that comes out of the spigot and I feel like I waste alot). But I love how it looks/smells/works!

    xox

  • Tracy

alex! you are soooooooooooo RIGHT! I put tons of dish soap on my sponge by accident. I actually think that I will use the handsoap container (when it’s done) for the dish soap. I think that might help a lil. xox

  • Dining Detour

I love the J.R. Watkins products! My very favorite of them all is the aloe and green tea all purpose cleaner – leaves your house smelling amazing.

  • Melody

You’ve hit on some of my faves too; butternut squash to make a delightful creamy soup, the lunch cubes keep everything fresh and prevent sandwiches and goodies from getting squished, JR Watkins Lemon dish soap smells so good I actually enjoy washing dishes and I also use a spreadsheet to create a master shopping list. I even highlight the items we need on the list, just like you do!

I really love this time of year when there is a wide variety of fresh produce available from my own garden and the local farm market. Nothing tastes better than fresh picked!
