Pulling one out from the vault! This time I have daylight pics and some tasty additions.
Last night called for something hearty, warm and comforting…..
I made Chicken Sausage & Bean Casserole with Sage!!

This time around, I let the beans get creamier before I transferred the mixture to the casserole dish.

I also did a better job at frying the sage & added some parmesan to the breadcrumb topping!

It’s a recipe that gets even better on the second day.
It reminded me a bit of the Tuscan Ribollita I recently made, but not as soupy (obviously) and no tomatoes or chard.
I have to say that it’s absolutely perfect for a fall/winter lunch.

O-M-G That prettymuch looks like the tastiest frickin thing I have ever seen. I agree with Rose about sage, it is hardcore addictive.
alex- i used to not be into white beans either! they make things creamy and they add a lot of protein and fiber to a meal- in a cheap way! get to it! start making stuff with whitebeans!
