Here’s what this past week looked like:
My current mantra.
My Uncle Dan lost his battle to cancer this week. I was thinking about him on the way to work & this rainbow appeared.
It followed me for 15 minutes. He had the most incredible smile.
Getting my grocery list together.
Huevos Rancheros for Casey. I used jalapeno jack this time.
Roasted butternut squash & arugula salad (recipe soon!)
I cleaned out my fridge a little. Grocery shopping prep!
Hearts, cookies & food coloring. Recipe soon!
Pinkies up!
While I was doing laundry, I took a sheet and swaddled Cooper with it.
GET ME OUT OF HERE!!!!! Dang he’s huge.
A slice of orange, a citrus spice tea bag & some agave. Just waiting for hot water.
Bring your dog to work day! This is Siena. She’s not my dog.
Mailed a letter JUST IN TIME!
Tuesday night fried chicken at Mack’s BBQ.
Messing around on Pinterest while eating a freezer burrito.
Gray shellac! It has little purple/pink glitter undertones.
Indian food with my boys.
His & Hers coffee leftovers.
Wine tasting dinner with Rewinery at Kokkari.

say somethingLove the nail polish! What color is it? My family and I loooove going to Kokkari…my mom cannot stop talking about the lamb she had there for her birthday…in her words ‘Best. Lamb. EVVVVVVVVER’ (Oprah style). Its now on our top SF places to eat list whenever they come to visit me (along with Salt House, Anchor & Hope, Slanted Door and Betelnut).
Gorgeous nail color!
Lovely as always. Freaking adorable picture of Cooper.
Oh I see you are like me, getting addicted to the Shellac nails! Fun post – thanks!
My two year old daughter and I painted our nails gray this week. The color was called “gunmetal”, FYI that is the cutest word that can come out of a two year old’s mouth!
What cookbook are you looking at?
Ina Garten’s Back to Basics!
This looks like a fun week. It’s slightly strange but I love making grocery lists!
I so so so love your new photo project, it’s so interesting to have a little look into your everyday life!
LOVE the nails and don’t you just love the “all out of” notepads?!
Sending you a hug Tracy *hugs*
I’m so sorry to hear about your uncle.
Looking forward to the cookie recipe!
So sorry to hear about your uncle. I luv your blog; it makes my morning espressos so much better (and makes me miss CA!).

Glad to see we both have continued our rlashionships with shellac! I’m sporting navy blue!
Sending you and your family love
Tracy, I’m so sorry to hear about your Uncle. The rainbow picture made me smile though, my brother passed away almost 4 years ago and after the service we had people back at our place and there was a rainbow over our house.. it was a pretty special moment!
Keep smiling
It’s hard to believe he was ever small enough to really swaddle, huh? Such a cutie! What brand is the shellac polish? I’ve been getting mine done for a couple months and am so tired of the limited color selection. I love that one!
Love the nails and the post. By the way, I think we’re hand twins.

Your nail beds are sooo much nice than mine!
love the GREY nails!!!!!
I want to add stripes on top!!!! I CAN’T RESIST.
Sorry for your family’s loss, Tracy.
I was struck by the grey tones in all of these photos. It’s so unique…everything’s all black and white and grey and stainless. They are beautiful. And, I have always wanted to go to Kokkari (but so many other restaurants get between us)! How was it?
Thank you for your sentiments!
Kokkari is amazing. I used to go a lot when I lived in the city. They’re food is REALLY REALLY GOOD.
I love the Everyday Life posts, even more than the 365 Food ones. You capture the mundane everyday things and make them look artsy and romantic.
Thank you! It’s important to see good in simple things! It’s what makes life worth living.
I’m really sorry to hear about your Uncle. It’s nice to get little signs from the world like that, though. Makes me feel at peace. Your week looks full of love!
Makes the days brighter, for sure! xoxo Thank you friend!
ah, beauty in the everyday… love it!
