Someone Ate This reminds me of Dimly Lit Meals for One. Not sure which came first, but both are disgustingly hilarious.

Great List! We totally ghost sometimes, but we call it doing the slip. Who has a freezer that looks like that? Mine could have been featured in the “what not to do” section. UGH! Have a great weekend Tracy.

  • jahaila @ Girl Nesting

    Ha!!! I LOVE this list!!!!!!

  • Amielle

I couldn’t remember which of the links linked to ‘Someone Ate This’ and had to look through the list a couple of times to pinpoint it but !!!! W H Y? And then I saw the salmon and chickpea salad and my faith in humanity was restored. Thank you. 🙂

  • kathryn

oh man, i could only scroll through about half of that ‘someone ate this’ list before i had to stop. ha. also-just made kombucha for the first time using the kitchn’s guide and it is pretty foolproof. turned out great and actually tastes sort of cidery to me (after the addition of peaches and ginger). probably getting spiked with some bulleit soon.

  • Cathy

Thank you for the polite post. It’s been a rough week but I will continue to be polite with renewed endeavour despite all that might go on around me. x

  • Brittany B

How to Be Polite is one of the best things I’ve read in a very long time!

  • Michelle

Wow! Thank you so much for posting “Meg Jay: Why 30 is not the new 20”

I turned 25 yesterday, so this message could not have come at a better time! Btw, Happy (almost?) Birthday to you! LEO LOVE!

  • Celeste

Traci please make Kombucha – I would love to see your process and your creativity in creating new flavors!

  • Celeste

    TracY sorry!

  • Sunny

I brewed my first kombucha a couple of weeks ago with a scoby from my yoga teacher, and I love it. Summer is a great time with all these fruits in season – I’ve tried peach and blueberry. The Kombucha Brooklyn book is also helpful.

Loved these links! The TED talk is fascinating. That food one made me gag. I totally cried at that video of the son buying his mom a car. OMG.

I wish I could’ve hugged Robin Williams. I’m so unbelievably heartbroken. I just imagine him feeling so alone. We all loved him so much.

There are lists and then, there are ‘your’ lists. Absolutely love your picks and my fave this week is the 13 things no one tells you about being a woman. Wow, what a read!

  • Ella

Buzzfeed is so fantastic, I swear. That page about the gym mishaps is SO TRUE

Thank you Tracy! I LOVE your Friday lists. I save them for Saturday morning, when I have time to click on and check out all the links and laugh and cry. #3 seriously needed a warning. I’ll save it and refer back to it when I need to suppress my appetite.
By the way – YOU are amazing! Keep it up.

The Thought Catalogue list was so on the money, especially number 7: ‘the difference between being nurturing and being a doormat is your Everest’.
And oh my gosh, the honey roasted peach buttermilk ice cream? LEGIT.

  • Dini

You make THE best lists. Thanks for making my Mondays (I live in Asia) a little sunnier 🙂

  • Darlene

Oh my god! I’m making my own kombucha! It’s sooooo easy. Easiest kitchen DIY project ever. 🙂 You can do it.
