My Everyday Life: Week 8

Here’s what this past week looked like (in Mexico!!)

On our way home. It’s always so nice to experience a sunset on the plane.

Los Cabos International. Goodbye, Mexico!

Sparkling water with lime, a Real Simple and reading Smart Chefs Stay Slim on my Kindle.

(it’s a fantastic read!)

The sky is so blue in Cabo.

Taking a walk with my husband.

Gorgeous.

A bee in my pina colada. No big deal.

Pool water hypnosis.

Electric buffet.

Fish tacos for days.

Margaritas for three.

An hour before my brother lost his sunglasses.

Rock garden.

The day we ordered too much sushi.

Poolside.

Essentials. I finished Gone Girl!!!

I’d like to say my trip wasn’t all about drinking…but it was.

Palm trees & fluffy clouds.

Looking down from the balcony.

Everyday we were welcomed with a towel animal.

Mexico is super colorful.

On the way to the pool.

A sensible breakfast.

Not too shabby.

Sun going down.

Wearing my favorite dress means I’m on vacation.

Awards dinner for my brother! (the reason why Casey & I were able to get away to begin with!)

Thank you, brother!

I’m on a boat!!

People look small on the beach.

Oh! LOOK! A whale!

I’m watching a boat!

Bonkers sunset.

An AMAZING meal at Market at the Palmilla.

Moon & Palm.

Look at the teeth on this fish.

A Bloody Mary that was full of LIME!

Dinner in a pirate ship with fireworks!

Here is said pirate ship.

Margaritas made by a pirate.

Good morning, Mexico!

A girl could get used to room service…

When you arrive at the Hilton in Cabo, they have margaritas waiting for you when you get out of the car.

Welcome to Cabo!!!

Above the clouds!

Thank you for enduring that!

Awh man Tracy! These pictures make me want to guzzle down so much exotic juices. I’m incredibly envious! It all looks amazing 🙂

  • Ruth

I already felt like I needed a holiday, now I KNOW I need one! Looks amazing, and I’m hooked on Gone Girl!

Enduring? pish posh! THANK YOU – I feel like I just went on a mini vacation to Cabo 🙂

  • merciblahblah

The photo of the sunglasses and the reflection on that fantastic fabric is EVERYTHING. Love. It.

  • Jackie

You look amazing in that dress!!!

  • Stefanie @ Sarcastic Cooking

We went to Cabo for our honeymoon. It was fantastic! I think I recognize The Office. That was one of my favorite places we ventured to. Lobster tacos were perfect! I wouldn’t go there at night though. So jealous!

  • Amy

A wonderful way to start my Monday 🙂 It’s raining here this morning but I’ve just been whisked away to sunny Cabo, and inspired to start saving for a holiday with the boyfriend!

  • Lizzie

Holy crap! Thanks for the peek into your colorful and pixilated and BEAUTIFUL trip!

  • Jessica

My two fave photos: THE WHALE!!!! (my dream!!!) and the sunset! I hate flying, but it calms me down when I see the sunrise or the sunset… bliss.

  • Heidi

I’m swooning over these photos, especially the people on the beach and the whale! Thanks for sharing!

  • Sylvie

You make me miss my time in Baja! It looks like you had everything a vacation should be – relaxation and doing things you don’t do in everyday life.
    Thanks for sharing.

  • Beth

I do miss Mexico! My hubby and I decided to not take our annual trip there and those margarita pictures are making me regret that decision! Loving the dress shot, classy lady time! Hope it was a relaxing and fun trip!

  • Hello Sandwich

Loved this post! Margaritas on arrival~? oh my!
Thank you for sharing this with us!

    Love Love
    Hello Sandwich
    xoxo

Such a beautiful photo collection! Pardon my ignorance but I didn’t realize Mexico is such a colourful place. The whale tail picture alone makes me want to go. And I always wear my favourite dresses on vacation. At home it’s always crumpled t-shirts. haha.. Thanks for sharing!

  • Holly Waterfall

thank you thank you for taking me on a trip away from cold cold Salt Lake for just a minute. very beautiful, and it’s okay Tracy – it can be all about the drinks when you’re in Cabo.

  • Jessica

Love the sunset picture! Curious to know what you thought of Gone Girl. I got everyone at work to read it when I was done with it the summer….we all were equally addicted to it and were all equally irritated with the ending.

  • LIA

OMG! I think my brother-in-law must work for the same company as your brother! He was at Cabo the past week after winning the trip through work… He sent us a pic saying something about the best fish tacos ever 😉

  • Benthe

Wow I love everything in this post 🙂 The food, the drinks (!!), especially those, the weather, the sea, the drinks, everything.

  • Tami - Teacher Goes Back To School

vacation! totally living vicariously through you.

was it hard to be away from cooper that long? we haven’t done even an overnight yet, so i’m imagining this kind of trip a long, long way off.

  • sherri

Aswesome pictures. Loved them. Thanks for sharing. Glad you had such a great time!!

  • Linda

Thank you so very much for all the many pictures. It was a lot but I wouldn’t have minded even more. You captured your trip so beautifully that it was easy to picture myself enjoying those same events even as you enjoyed them. You are very talented and I hope to see more of your trip. Again, thank you!

  • Carly

If you painted a sunset like that, NO ONE would believe you.

  • sandra

enduring?!? that was awesome. Thank you for a virtual vacation.

  • Carissa

I love the drink pic that’s full of a rainbow of colors! Such great light!

  • Rachel W.

I thought you were at the Hilton! I’m glad you had a great trip. I got married there, so the hotel holds a special place in my heart. That looong path down to the beach? That was my “aisle”! It makes me so happy to see pictures, even now, almost 4 years later 🙂

  • Emily

Tracy, your photography blows me away every time-I love your perspective so much! Have you thought about doing more with photography? Like for magazines or something?

  • Leah

    Beautiful photos!

I hope you had a very relaxing vacation!

  • Laura

    Tracy.
Just finished listen to the podcast where you and Joy talk about thighs and how you prefer to keep your hidden. That might be true but lady you have amazing ankles! (and that dress you’re wearing is amazeballs!)
I would trade your thighs for my (c)ankles any day!! 😉

    • Tracy

Thanks! That’s one of the reasons why I can’t wear tall boots because it makes my legs look like a big stump when my ankles are hidden. The grass is always greener, right?

    • Diane Beebe

Podcast? Where can I find that?

  • Jessica Gunsell

    Lovely, thank you for sharing!

  • Hannah

I was just in Cabo! I recognize that beach, we stayed close to there. That looks amazing.

  • Diane Beebe

Just stumbled on your website today from a mention in another blog that I follow…..let me just say….I LOVE IT!!!! It’s beautiful and CHOCKED full of “stuff”……

  • Brooke

Love thy gorgeous airplane window photo! I have a few of those myself! I’m terrified of flying but can’t help looking out the window when I’m up there. It’s really amazing (especially on Xanax!). 😉

  • Brooke

    *that (not thy) *blush*
