My Everyday Life: Week 12

Here’s what this past week looked like:

Casey and I went to Alcatraz this week with family! Not a bad view from the rock.

Alcatraz is full of hidden treasures.

Hello up there!

It’s fun being a tourist in your hometown.

Decay.

Mine! Mine! MINE!

The library of Alcatraz feels like it’s full of ghosts.

my everyday life week 12 || shutterbean

It’s all kind of eerie.

my everyday life week 12 || shutterbean

I can’t imagine what it was like at night when inmates were there.

I would seriously never sleep.

Keys for days.

my everyday life week 12 || shutterbean

The bay is green…and only blue when the sky is reflected in it.

my everyday life week 12 || shutterbean

So much history to see.

my everyday life week 12 || shutterbean

The hospital of Alcatraz felt like a movie set.

Nice styling.

My nephew Henry listening to the audio tour. (We went on St. Patrick’s Day)

Just add a little more blue and it’s Life Aquatic.

Dogs & Sausages. Pigeons will eat it all.

The Gales!  Visiting from Idaho!

There were moments when I could see Henry as a baby in his 10 year old face.

Family dinner.

It’s so hard to take pictures of chickens.

my everyday life week 12 || shutterbean

FINALLY! I made eye contact with one.

Fresh eggs that are still warm.

Working hard at a drawing before school.

The worst bento box I’ve ever had.

Feels like spring here. Sorry about your snow!

We celebrated our 9 year anniversary this week!  It’s been a long time since I’ve had long hair.

I kinda have an obsession with your “my everyday life” series. You take such beautiful pictures and I love your taste, house and style.

  • Joy

Great pictures this week, Tracy! Love the chicken, your tulips are lovely, and boy, does snack dinner look good! Also, Happy Anniversary! I think we share the same date. I celebrated 20 with my husband this week. Time flies.

  • Victoria

Yay for friends!!!! And catching glimpses of little boys that remind you of when they were babies!

I’m loving the spring we’ve been having in the PNW! I’m soooo thankful the snow has left us ALONE this year. :)

Alcatraz would creep me out too.

We’ve been loving snack dinners lately. They’re the best!

My Everyday Life is my one of my favorite weekend pleasures. Brilliance in pictures.

You were a beautiful bride! :-)

Snack dinners are the best. I toured Alcatraz about 2 years ago and am still creeped out by the memories. I thought you could totally feel the presence of the inmates and I am not normally into ghosts, etc.

  • Joy

As always, WOW! The Redwood climbing photo is especially amazing. Your eye for light and perspective is amazing.

  • Becky

Snack dinner! A favorite. I like to call it “American tapas” to feel more sophisticated about eating cheese and crackers and cherry tomatoes for dinner.

Tracy, I have been one of your blog “groupies” (and podcast listeners!!) for a long time but have never said anything. Your Everyday Life posts are my absolute fave! I get so excited when I see there is a new one to read. I love sipping my coffee and looking at all of your dreamy photos! Thank you for sharing your beautiful life! <3

Amazing photos, Tracy! And happy anniversary!! xo

That chicken looks semi-murderous…but then again I don’t really trust chickens. What’s with all that road crossing?
Your tour of Alcatraz sounds great! I went a few years ago with a friend on a very overcast day and it was so spooky! I can’t imagine what it would have been like to be locked in there at nighttime. Not for this bunny.
And snack dinners are the best!
Keep hustling Tracy :) and happy anniversary!

  • Hilary

That pigeon has sass. The redwood photo is AMAZE-ing. And omygerd that last chicken photo.
    You rock, Tracy!

  • Lorin

Was the Ai Wei Wei show still up at Alcatraz? Probably not. It was amazing, though, and really cool to see an art installation in such a unique place.

  • Kimberly V.

That second chicken picture is the best! I love the eye contact, but I love the serious side-eye the brown chicken is giving you even more.

  • Kate Shu

The Redwood Climbing picture is Beyond.
