Jasmine Tea Infused Vodka

Jasmine Tea Infused Vodka to up your spirit game. Find the recipe on Shutterbean.com!

Gift giving changes a lot as we get older. We’re not children huddled around the tree waiting (impatiently) for their turn to open presents. We’re adults managing more than we’ve ever had to while figuring out how to muster up a satisfactory amount of holiday magic and sparkle during the home stretch of another exhaustingly full year.

No?

Just me?

What does it mean to give a gift?

(I actually googled that and found this really good article).

It means that you were thinking of someone else. You were putting energy into make someone feel happy and special.  You were taking a moment to be thoughtful and spread cheer. You gave the gift of your time.

What it really comes down to, and what my parents said to us kids when we got gifts like Miss Piggy bow biters from my Auntie Toni:

It’s the thought that counts.

Sometimes we don’t give gifts because we don’t have enough time.

Time can be carved out if you’re thoughtful enough.

This Jasmine Tea Infused Vodka is one of the simplest ways to show you’re thinking of your friend or family member who appreciates spirits as gifts. If you’ve gotta see someone in the afternoon or evening, all you have to do is let jasmine tea steep in vodka for about 2-3 hours in the morning, strain it and package it up and you’re good to go!  Just put effort into the wrapping + packaging.  That’s a gift in itself!

Let’s gather two ingredients.

Two of my favorites (not sponsored):

Vodka + Jasmine Pearl Tea

3 tablespoons to 750ml. vodka

750ml of vodka + tea  can produce about 3 cups of the perfumed floral liquor.

It smells so good….it could be perfume!

Now let’s decorate.

Use a pencil first when you’re working on lettering.

Unless you’re a natural and pen is your preferred medium and YOU NEVER MAKE MISTAKES. I salute you. Must be awesome to be perfect.

I like how I wrote Vodka. The rest I’m like mehhhhhhhhh.

Don’t worry. I have plenty to share.

OTHER SHUTTERBEAN INFUSIONS:

Jasmine Tea Infused Vodka

makes about 3 cups

  • 750ml. bottle vodka
  • 3 tablespoons jasmine pearl tea

Combine vodka and jasmine pearl tea in a jar. Close jar and let the mixture sit for 2-3 hours, shaking every so often. Strain infused vodka into a large measuring cup fitted with a fine mesh strainer. Transfer strained infused vodka to clean bottles. The infusion should last indefinitely if strained well.

This sounds greattttt! Do you have any suggestions of what to pair it with?

  • Sasha

I’m really intrigued by this recipe(I normally don’t like infused vodka) but do you have a cocktail recipe that uses this vodka?? 1) I really want to try it and 2) As a gift, I think it would be great idea to include a cocktail recipe on the back of the bottle.

And thanks for that article, it was a good read and I’m planning on sharing it with friends and family,

    • Tracy

Casey makes a martini with it- with some elderflower & lemon.

I think it would be great with a little bit of soda water, simple syrup with a splash of lemon 🙂

  • Kate

*LOVE* this idea! What do you think about this in an Long Island recipe?

  • Shelley

Tracy – this looks divine! Do you have to use jasmine ‘pearl’ tea or is regular loose leaf jasmine tea okay as well? Thanks so much !

    • Tracy

the ratio might be a little different, but i am sure it would work! make sure you strain it really well 🙂

  • Jean

I’m thinking this might be my favorite of your infused vodkas creations. Thanks for this gift (and your many others as well), Tracy! Loving the astral vibe of your photography in this post!

  • Jenna

These photos are GORGEOUS! I want to see a “behind-the-scenes”! Great job!

  • Danielle

You didn’t rock those bow biters? I sure did! Love the article about gift giving. I think homemade liquor gifts are the perfect balance of practical and emotional. I started making limoncello out of our Meyer lemons a few years ago and it feels like I’m giving my friends and family something to help them through the holidays. A little medicine that tastes good.

    • Tracy

She got me kermit the frog….and my BROTHER Miss Piggy! I would have gladly rocked Garfield.

  • erica

infusing a 1.75 liter bottle right now! Beautiful idea and I’m leaning towards a jasmine-vodka and fresh orange juice cocktail? May find out tonight if it’s a winner ; )

    • Tracy

oooh. let me know how it goes!

      • erica

PDX snow day but why not have an ice cold martini with jasmine tea infused vodka and fresh orange juice? Yep, it works! The orange juice doesn’t overpower the delicate flavor of the vodka. Going to try the soda and lemon combination next. ; )
