Intentions for the Week- Week 13 in 2022

Hello, MONDAY!

I read something in my horoscope that my house is going to be a mess but I’m making progress in other things and AIN’T THAT THE TRUTH. I am having a hard time dividing my energy with all of the things I need to do and the places I need to be. We were out in the world over the weekend for a baseball tournament and I forgot how many people are around! This new world and life is taking time to adjust. People aren’t wearing masks here and sometimes getting too close.

“I am having a hard time dividing my energy with all of the things I need to do and the places I need to be.”
Yes, this! I feel this so much at the moment.
But I’ve began questioning all those things and places because I’m really exhausted. I feel a pressure to be there and do all that, now that it’s finally possible again and I feel like we have to have all those birthdays and potlucks and sports and school and church things that weren’t possible for so long. But my little self is just out of energy, really low, and often so sad and so easily destabilized. I feel like I’m overstraining myself so much.
And also, there’s this unhelpful self-talk of “that’s what we did all the time before Covid, why can’t you cope”, also “this has to be fun, why aren’t you enjoying this?!” It’s hard right now, introverts and moms.
I try to read this as an invitation to practise self compassion. 🙂

Thanks for the inspiration, Tracy, and have a good week.
