October was equally fun as it was stressful and overwhelming. Going through the ups and downs with insurance and mammograms and biopsy, wiped me out emotionally. On the bright side, I was able to do a lot of art with friends, read a book, participated in a virtual book club. I also got a physical and bloodwork was done so HOORAY for not putting things off.
In October, I participated in a drawing challenge- #theydrawandcook
31 days of food-related prompts! I used part of the template from my monthly calendar (cut it out to make a grid!) and drew a small 1-inch square drawing every day. I LOVED IT! It kept me thinking about all of the foods we eat this time of year.
It also reminded me how much I love making art a daily practice.

A reminder to take good care of yourself.
Waiting for biopsy results. Growing more gray hair by the minute.
I referred to this mantra all week.
A massive storm brought a waterfall to our hill.
When I’m not having my afternoon turmeric latte, I’m having a Vanilla Almond Milk Tea.
With the combination of your favorite milk (I use Oatly full fat), Republic of Tea’s Vanilla Almond Tea (not sponsored, just love them!), and a bit of honey, you have my new favorite drink. It’s light, fluffy, and the perfect afternoon pick-me-up!
