Yes to metallic Birkenstocks! I have had my silver Gizehs for years and I still get compliments on them all the time. I call them my disco Jesus sandals and they are the best!

  • Paula

Hitting all the right notes with these links! I have so much to say about so many of them that I’ll just have to show them to a friend and chat instead of leaving excessively verbose comments on your post. 🙂

    Avolatte?? I mean NO!!!

  • Shawn

I think we are kindred shoe spirits. I totally just bought those Birkenstocks two weeks ago. They are my first pair and I heart them so much. Thank you for your blog. I can always count on your list for inspiration and giggles. It’s one of my Friday highlights.

The Shorts Shorts link is incorrect. It’s linking to the camping with kids story.

Can’t wait to make the billionaire bars though. Yum,

if you go to Chicago and use the restaurant list, Alinea is a bit of a pain in the arse with how they do reservations and seatings. Make sure to read the FAQ om the website. It was enough for me to realize it was not what I personally enjoy in a restaurant.
Publican is great though and you will not leave hungry or disappointed.

  • Lisa

That avocado latte….oh my we have hit rock bottom lol As a society we will apparently do anything to feel “healthy” but not realizing we dont have to invent crazy things to actually achieve this!
The new blue pigment is exciting!!!

Wow, that “You should’ve asked” article spoke to me so deeply! I’ve tried sharing the idea behind it with my husband so many times, we talk about “my responsibility,” butI was only scratching the surface, and he wasn’t getting it–I couldn’t put it into words, but I was feeling the weight of it. Can’t wait to share this and see if he gets it, too.
