My Everyday Life: Week 3

Here’s what the past week looked like on My Everyday Life – Week 3

I wrote this on an index card last year and tucked it into a notebook.

It fell out and landed on my lap while I was cleaning this week.

Yes, universe. YES.

Spent a lot of time in the kitchen this week….cleaning…organizing…testing….

Impromptu trip to the nursery after school brought sunshine.

We are a team in the mornings. We hustle. We try to talk to each other nicely while we are scurrying about. We need each other’s cooperation to start the day off right.

He leaves me notes on my windshield when I get into the car. The morning chats and the afternoon chats in the car are my favorite.

I wrote this a few months ago.

I’ve had a much better relationship with technology since.

My Everyday Life: Week 3 on Shutterbean.com

Mostly because I’ve been giving myself better boundaries and I’ve been making technology work for me.

This week after Cooper was asleep, I listened to this podcast about stress and wrote notes.

Time well spent!

    Morning Tracy,

Loved this week’s post, as per the usesh. Just checking in to say hi. I’m sitting here with a full cup of tea, trying to get pumped to tackle some grad school and job applications. Happy Sunday to us both 🙂

      Happy Sunday, Lisa!!

Good luck with your grad school/job applications! You got this!

  • Theodora

I love that your Indian take-out is my go-to meal. I love chicken tikka masala and saag paneer!

  • Kiersten Owings

First the sculpture you turned into a painting with your phone, was that an app. Also, you are fabulous. You are actually inspiring me lately. Really hoping you would do tutorials or even instastories on how you change your art work into backgrounds for your images.

  • Jenna

Those flatbread pizzas look delicious!! Have a great week 🙂

  • Adrien

Another beautiful week in photos — I really look forward to these every Sunday. Could you please share where the candle on your kitchen table is from? It is lovely!

  • Victoria Pease

I think I’m most impressed you went to see a film for $7.50 when in the UK its currently sitting at £10.00 per ticket! Bargain! I loved La La Land, I’ve had the soundtrack on non stop and would love to see it again but those movie ticket prices…

    • Tracy

You might as well buy the movie if you’re gonna pay that much!

    • Klaudia

Don’t know which part of England you live in, it’s at least £12 in my town and £16 if it’s a 3D film (which a lot of them are now). It’s terrible so now date nights are spent on the sofa, renting the films released a month ago for £8! xx

  • Lori

Your day date and Friday night sound pretty awesome! Love the his and hers picture 🙂

  • Scarlett

I love the wall/cloud pictures. What a cute coincidence. Also, have you ever posted a list of podcast recommendations? If not, I’d love to hear about your favorites!

  • Jemma

I always love your Everyday Life series. This week I’m especially thankful and happy that you shared the Minimalists podcast. I’m going to listen to their episode about Stress. 🙂

  • libby

Did you see the SNL sketch about the guy who wan’t crazy about La La Land? I haven’t seen it yet but it still cracked me up. 😀

  • Heidi

Your poem on technology… whoa. I’ve been on a social media fast for the past three weeks and it has been enlightening. Your words encapsulate my feelings exactly. Thank you!

  • Soozi Graf

Ha! I thought your cat napping on your bed was some kind of rat-like animal. Looks like it has a looooooong tail!

  • Lisa

You should give the camera to Cooper one week and see what he takes photos of in his “everyday life”! It is so neat to see the world thru a kids eyes and at their level! I’m going to do this for my kids just to see what they capture as important or special…I dont have a blog but I think it would be so neat to see what they decide to take pics of!

    • Tracy

I am going to charge Cooper’s camera for that very reason. Thanks for the reminder, Lisa!

  • Katie

I believe that pussywillow was actually a magnolia. It would be neat if you could watch the buds emerge, then you would know for sure!

    • Tracy

oh cool! i’ll check back when I’m at the nursery again. maybe they’ve progressed!
