Intentions for the Week

Looking to get your head in the game? Tracy from Shutterbean makes a weekly TO DO LIST called her Intentions for the Week. Here's what this week looks like:

Intentions for the Week- Week 16 of 2020

Hello friends!

We made it through another week of school+work from home. HOORAY.  I’m currently laying in bed typing because I threw my back out while gardening this weekend. Womp womp. It’s been hard to be idle today, but a reminder that I can’t and shouldn’t bite off more than I can chew and I should ask for help while moving things. Our friends brought us some ham, I made mashed potatoes and roasted carrots. It was a simple and delicious Easter dinner.  I think I am going to make Sausage Bread this week because it’s the time of year my grandma used to make it.

This week Cooper is on Spring Break. We were supposed to go on a family trip to the coast, but we’re stuck at home. We’ll try to make an adventure of it somehow. We always have a list to refer to…

This time is so weird. Not checking in with my calendar has been jarring. Some days are easier than others. Some days have been downright hard.  Starting each morning with a list really helps. Let’s sit down and write down our Intentions for the week, shall we?

  • package/ship food journals The Handwriting Club
  • track my steps on my fitbit
  • MOVE MY BODY  (could have done more moving)

  • facetime with friends
  • do some meal prep/cleanout fridge
  • therapy (doing a remote session!)
  • file documents in my banker’s boxes.

    Dear Tracy,
thank you so much for sharing your daily list last week! I’ve tried it out and it was exactely what I needed!
My normal routines of planning have been messed up since school closed and we started sheltering at home as a family of four (week 5 as of today). I was under the constant impression of doing a lot and still not getting anything done. With this “Today I will…”-list I have a much clearer idea of my day. Thank you so much for sharing!

I’m really sorry that you don’t get do go to the coast! We had a trip to the North Sea (Germany) planned for this week and I miss it sooo much! But I’m thinking of doing some art or craft project with shells we collected in previous years (which are a lot…).

  • Ashley

Thanks for feeding us today! Made your roasted broccoli and beans (added canned artichoke hearts) for lunch and we’ll have the bacon potato hash for dinner!

  • Mira

That looks absolutely scrumptious, a great way to serve eggs on a lazy weekend – or any other time.

  • Kingsley

Eggs are so versatile, particularly like the one with spinach – I would never have thought of that combo

  • Mel

My goodness that banana bread looks good! I love banana bread and chocolate so this recipe is pretty inspired
