My Everyday Life: Week 46

Here’s what this past week looked like – My Everyday Life Week 46

This week we’ve been stuck indoors because the smoke from the fires has made it unbearable to be outside.

My throat has been irritated by it.

So, we spent a lot of time laying low at home.

That means I’ve done some baking.

Hippie Banana Bread turned into muffins!  Took about 20  minutes in the oven at 350F.

Made 12.

We accomplished a lot around the house while we were here.

I’m most excited that my closet looks a lot like this again.

I have a whole folder on my phone of coffee mug wisdom.

Here’s my latest addition:

I did some work in the library this week. It’s the best way to get a bunch of writing work done!

I love that they have a seed library!

Stuck inside art!!  This went from this…

To this!

I haven’t painted in a long time. Maybe months!!! And I was getting really frustrated with my session but then I made this. Abandoned it and then came back 20 minutes later with a black pen to enhance. Sometimes stepping out of the situation and revisiting things helps- in art and in life.

I read that spirits can communicate through water.

This bathtub was her bathtub for many many years, so being in it definitely reminds me of her.

A year ago this week, she was alive. It would be her last week on Earth.

Making this area of our house look pretty with all of our sentimental treasures.

I miss blue skies and regular afternoon light. The yellow filter on everything is so bizarre.

Dear Tracy, anniversaries are difficult, especially first ones. Sending you positive thoughts and hugs this week. ♡

  • Kelsey

Tears came to my eyes reading your words about your mom. I know this week will be hard and I am sending you thoughts of comfort and love.

  • Mary

Thinking of you and your Mom.

Thanks for continuing to share this year – I can’t imagine how tough it has been, but I’ve really appreciated your openness and have found a lot of inspiration in your effort to find the beautiful in the everyday.

  • Rebecca

“I cook, he cleans” that’s our life too. Nice to see the rhythm reflected all the way across the pond. Thinking of you as the smoke still fills the air and difficult anniversaries roll around. Thank you for continuing to share no matter how tough things get. You’re an inspiration. x
