Raspberries with Framboise & Cream

Raspberries with Framboise & Whipped Cream // shutterbean

I love berries & cream. Who doesn’t?  I’m always trying to find new combinations so with this one, I splashed a little bit of Framboise on my fresh raspberries and topped them with a dollop of whipped cream. The Framboise (raspberry liqueur) adds a nice sweetness to the mix while making the berries POP!  I love how something simple can be elevated with a little liqueur. You should definitely try Raspberries with Framboise & Cream for a great snack/dessert.

All three things I like to eat. Throw some juicy cherries into the mix and now we’re talking!

I froze half of this batch because I didn’t want to have all of them sitting on my kitchen counter…taunting me…and then in the name of research I found out that they’re even better when you eat them frozen. Research, man. RESEARCH.

Corn & Shrimp Chowder

For those chilly Summer nights, make Corn & Shrimp Chowder. Pairs perfectly with grilled garlic bread. Recipe on Shutterbean.com

I suppose every Summer there are a few cold nights thrown into the mix. I like to imagine sitting out on a porch somewhere in New England along the water….eating bowls of this soup with hunks of garlic bread.  I may or may be wrapped in a blanket…sitting in an adirondack chair. Hopefully there’s a foot rest on that chair…I gotta balance soup on my lap. Bugs are not apart of this fantasy.

If you can’t get enough fresh sweet corn this Summer, this Corn & Shrimp Chowder is for you. The soup is light, perfectly chunky with the potatoes and shrimp and if you’re like me, you’ll add a little hot sauce & extra Old Bay Seasoning at the end. That Old Bay is my old bae!

This is another good excuse to have garlic bread on the grill this summer.
