new obsession: terrariums!

on display!

I've been wanting to make some for awhile.  I've seen TONS and TONS of images of them on the 'net.  I made today "MAKE A TERRARIUM" day.  Why did I wait so long to do so?

I found a nice lil tutorial over here at designsponge.  It's awesome!  I had no idea how easy it was to do.

It took a trip to Home Depot, a stop at IKEA for jar and a trip to Salvation Army to get another container.

Took me about an hour or so to complete all three of them.  I got kinda overboard and made another one while Cooper napped.

Take a look!

Birthday Celebration continued…

I had a birthday celebration for Casey & his sister on Saturday to celebrate their birthdays.

Here is a peak of the table!

I wrapped Lauren's present first, and it became the inspiration for the table decoration.

happy happy birthday

halloween is in the air!

I was anticipating that I wouldn't get the opportunity to decorate my house for Halloween this year since I have a little sprout on the way...but since I'm on maternity leave I was able to get the mantle done and a few things put up around the house.

There's one week left til baby is "expected" to make his arrival!!!

Thanks to Martha Stewart's Crafts over at Michael's and a little help from Target...I was able to this off. It's so much fun!

especially you!

the “reveal”

the kitchen before photo

For all of you that know me...it's obvious why I wouldn't like this kitchen right? I am a high contrast- B&W with bold colors type of person. I am not a warm tone....autumn colored person. I consider a panda my "power" animal for obvious reasons- because not only are they cute, but they go with EVERYTHING!

(excuse the mess above...hubby took the picture...right before he took off all the cabinets....he doesn't have an eye for these things)

and now we have the AFTER!!!!!!

shazam!! new kitchen
