Thank you for the Birthday wishes!!!!
You are all soo sweet and awesome. You helped make my birthday SOOO special. You have no idea!
Thank you thank you THANK YOU!!!!
Over a week ago, I vowed to eat healthy so I could totally go nuts on my birthday. If you are gonna go big, you might as well do it on your birthday, right?! I totally GORGED myself and rembered what it's like to have my stomach reach it's maximum capacity! Not pleasant...but totally worth it---especially the dessert part! Be patient, we will get to that in a second!
I started the day off by SMOTHERING coconut oil on my toast for breakfast (sorry not pictured). I'm like totally IN LOVE with coconut oil lately! It deserves its own post for sure! Look out for that soon!
My dad took me out to a really yummy Seafood lunch@ Swan Oyster Depot in SF for lunch!
We always get there pretty early to get a seat. I love going there with him. It's really old-timey & fun.

I thought it was funny to see a Keep Calm and Carry On poster on their walls!

I ordered an Anchor Steam & we got a dozen cherrystone clams on the half shell to start with.
Goodbye 2009!
We said goodbye to 2009 with lobster! It's been a wonderful tradition at my parent's house for almost 10 years.
Last night we had 25lbs between 7 adults. I'd say that's pretty good, right?

My brother Ryan showed Coop a few of the lobsters.

He was a bit fascinated by them.
my lil trip to portland:

I just got back from Oregon. I LOOOOOOOOOOOVE it up there. I'm get nostalgic for Oregon as I went to college there waaaay back when.
I met up with a dear friend in Portland before my visit to Eugene and we had a lil food & shopping adventure!
We went to Pine State Biscuits! I've been wanting to go FOREVER.

i’m sleepy
cuzzzzzz we had a bizzy weekend!
Friday I went to Ikea and treated myself to a yogurt with kiwis & strawberries at Harmony in San Carlos

oh vegas!

This past weekend we went to Las Vegas for a wedding. It was our first time away from Cooper AND our first time to Las Vegas. (thank you mom!)
Such a wonderful trip. Still tired as a result!
People watching was FANTASTIC and the food we ate was killer. Because Casey and I love eating our way through a city, I made sure book some reservations the second our flights were booked.
Here are some of the places we ate:
*Nobhill (took pictures, but the lack of flash made everything so blah! I am NOT going to be that person who is firing a flash in a dark restaurant all night long. It's like being on your cellphone...but worse!)
*Bouchon (Thomas Keller held the key to our hangover cure at Brunch on Sunday)
which included.....
dear future child,
This is your mom speaking. You are due to arrive in give-or-take 3 weeks!!! Yikes. I am equally prepared and not prepared for your arrival.
This past weekend I ate almost a whole loaf of challah bread. I am TOTALLY convinced you loved EVERY second of it. Didn't you? I know I did. How could you not? I felt guilty for 2.5 seconds and then realized that I have a bun (that's you!) in the oven. A bun who will smile at me one day and be a carb addict just like his momma. So I guess it was worth the sacrifice. You will probably be the child who has eaten half the loaf of french bread before the clerk passes the barcode through the scanner.... Just don't be that kid who eats all of the bread I was going to serve company! That kid makes mommies unhappy.
Besides the challah fiasco...you also went out to dinner with your grandparents, your dad, and your cousins Elaine & Bruce.
This is what you ate:
